    I recently had an unfortunate experience with Blacks that left me utterly disappointed. Despite being a reputable retailer, their customer service has been less than satisfactory. Due to a minor technical glitch with PayPal, my order was processed with an incorrect delivery address. What was more frustrating was the lack of a confirmation page to review the details before the final purchase. Recognizing the error, I immediately reached out to Blacks within 2 hours of placing the order, expecting a swift resolution. To my dismay, not only were they uncooperative, but they also placed the entire blame on me, citing their T&Cs, and showed little effort in genuinely trying to help. Their inflexibility and lack of understanding in handling genuine customer concerns is deeply concerning. It's a shame that a company of this stature seems to prioritize policy over genuine customer care. I spent £320, and due to their lack of proactive assistance, I'm at risk of losing the entire amount. I sincerely hoped for a better experience, but I've been left with a bitter taste of regret. If customer service and understanding are essential to you, I'd think twice before shopping with Blacks.
    While having their "Christmas sale" they advertise an EXTRA 10% off all departments, the code didn't work when I tried to check out. After waiting 20minutes for customer services they told me that there is already a discount on the item so the offer wouldn't apply. I said that is misleading because you are advertising an EXTRA 10%. He advised me to look for something else & the code might work. Unbelievable! I won't shop there anymore after previous problems with unhelpful staff in store.
    Sent the wrong item and expected me to pay to return it or drive to their shop. Not only that but the refund excludes the postage. Lesson learned, others warned.     I had to make a 40 mile return journey to have a security tag removed from a garment I has purchased from the Lincoln store. This incurred around £15.00 in expenditure. Not very much in the grand scheme of things but as a pensioner it matters. The treatment I got from the staff was woefully inadequate having been given an apology and had the tag removed the attitude was "Why are you still here?" I asked why I wasn't offered some form of recompense for expense incurred due to their mistake. The answer was "We don't do that." So I asked for and got the C.E.O.'s e-mail and I have e-mailed him voicing my concerns. No doubt I will get similar treatment reeking of apathy disinterest.     NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. 1. They take your money and then say they no longer have the item in stock and take weeks to give a refund. 2. They take your money then send you something different to what you have ordered. You send the item back and wait weeks for a refund. They do not refund postage even though it is their fault. They are cowboys. They are charlatans. They are crooks. They refuse to oblige by Consumer Rights Laws. Keep well clear. Take your custom elsewhere.
    Zero integrity! No shame to deceive you at all! They do their best to torture you with their silly T&C! You cannot cancel your order a second after you purchase as it has already dispatched then you wait 2 weeks for delivery! They promise you to come and pick up the order from your address till you reach the deadline to return the stuff and if you are lucky enough you may be figure out to return the order to the nearest store for refund on day 30.     Visited Blacks in Inverness and Molly was very helpful and informed me that with my purchase I could get an item on half price discount. As I did want some of the items on offer this was a huge saving to me. Pleasant, mannerly, and friendly young lady Thank you for your customer service
    I have used Blacks / Milletts / Ultimate Outdoors for a number of years, BUT recent purchases have been of dreadful quality, & interestingly a lot of the so-called branded t. Shirts they sell are now made in China, which possibly accounts for the poor quality. Because of this, I will shop elsewhere in future, and recommend others to do the same Tip for consumers:Find out WHERE manufactured. If its China, forget it Service Value Quality
    No refund after 5 weeks, no contact from customer service, still waiting. Read the reviews, they seem to do this a lot. Go to other reputable retailers who deserve your custom.
    A truly terrible company. Sent the wrong goods. Totally impossible to recover cost. Customer service a complete joke. Avoid if you don't want to get ripped off.
    To be sent an email to say your order is now £16.00 cheaper but not to offer a refund is a real kick in the teeth upon what is already hard times. Do not use this company. Tip for consumers:If you buy your product at what you believe is an honest price don't be surprised when it is reduced further.     Not great at all. I ordered an expensive tent (£1100) on the Monday for delivery from 3 to 5 days. I called the following monday to basically be told they had lost it, but no one had contacted me. I asked if they could arrange a new one to be sent out next day delivery to which I was told no, I had to just order as normal again. So I asked for a refund. I then got an email. Telling me I could have next day delivery, but when I asked it was to late as they had issed the refund. So now my camping trip with my children is cancelled as I have no tent. Would not recommed or use again.
    I've ordered a bike well over a week ago specifically for a forthcoming trip to centreparcs. The original order ended up lost in transit between blacks and the courier and a new one was done without even asking me if I still wanted to go ahead. I'm now in a position where I can't cancel the order can't ask them to hurry it through what seems a long drawn out process, and as this is classed as a new order it's within the timeframe for delivery while I'm on holiday. Which is frankly pointless. It's very poor service if you ask me. I could have had a bike the exact day I ordered had I chosen to shop somewhere else. I'm tempted to do that and just return when it arrives which are this rate isn't even guaranteed.
    Purchased a tent for a trip to Scotland. Upon arrival and setting up the tent I noticed lose threads all over the place, not a good sign! First night it started raining, woke to a wet sleeping bag and water puddles all over the apparant waterproof tent. That was my trip ruined. Had to endure a second night of rain and wet gear. As I was packing away the tent on the last day, the stuff sack that came with the tent tore in half meaning I was unable to reach stuff the tent. Cam imagine I'm furious by this point. Return home, contacted blacks they said I have to return it to a store. I don't not live withing 30 miles of any blacks retailers. Not possible. They arranged for dpd to collect the tent. I booked the day off work and guess what dpd never turned up. Lost a day's pay and again had to get in touch with blacks customer service. Blacks again booked dpd for delivery. I took another day off work only for them to turn up and refuse to take the item as it wasn't packaged correctly. By this point I'm giving up. Blacks again booked a 3rd delivery so I took a 3rd day off work. That's -£300 in wages I'm down now for a £61 tent. Finally the tent is taken away. Blacks had the audacity to offer me a goodwill gesture of £5 for my inconvenience. What about the 3 days lost wages? My advice don't ever shop at blacks millets or any of their associated retailers. Stick to amazon!
    Took money for a bag. No delivery no email After 3 weeks was told not in stock, then told it was in stock. Finally told its not in stock and will issue a refund.     Horrible. They sent me a torn jacket. When I got in contact with them, they said I must ship that jacket back to them, so they will fo some experiments to get known where this happen with jacket (hinting that it's my fault) and I must pay for shipping. Because they sent me a torn jacket - I must pay them more. These cheaters didn't got enough from selling me terrible stuff. I shipped it back, now they don't answer me at all. Not recommend at all. Horrible shop, bad things they sell, low quality support.
    I have to say the customer service is atrocious. I have ordered 4 separate occasions. 3 times they have taken my money but didn't send as no stock. On each occasion i was told it was being sent out- and I only found out it wasn't when i asked each time I hadn't revived. Each time I was told - even thigh still in the website, Boone know what is available and it is hit and miss if the stock room has the item! My last order they did have- but I was only sent half the order. I waited and waited and after numerous conversations with customer services I was again apologies to. As no one could give me an answer and I got a different answer and no refund, I sent a voucher. I have found I cannot use this not valid at blacks and has not been validated by the company anyway. I have spoken to 12+ Customer service reps all with a different answer and no joining up! Still not able to use but told to travel to a physical shop 2 hours away to see if it works there! This during covid. There is No help at all and how not to run a business! So now out of pocket! At the start the regional director phoned to apologies but still not been rectified.     Do not order from this company if you… Do not order from this company if you want your goods in a timely fashion... So I place my order for, 4 items on the 7th of April Which blacks accept and send me the email order confirmation and stating I will receive a further email once dispatched. This is the last I hear from blacks, so on Monday the 12th I give them a ring enquiring when my order will be dispatched. The lady I speak to informs me that 1 of my items is out of stock, so I ask the lady to cancel the whole order for me which the lady says she will do and I will receive the refund in 3-5 days. A bit peed that blacks let me order something that was out of stock and then never bothered to inform me. I had to ring and find out for myself. Anyway Because I thought I was receiving my refund, I order the whole order from another company. Happy days. However I receive an email from blacks today Tues 13th April stating they have dispatched part of my order. Even though the woman I spoke to said it was all cancelled. So I now have to wait another 4-6 days for the items to arrive just to return them ( I assume another 4-6 days) then wait up to 14 days for the refund. So all in all blacks will of had £111 of my money for roughly 1 month, for which I will have nothing to show for at the end of it. To make things worse I have ordered my whole order elsewhere, spending over £111 again because I was under the impression I would be receiving my refund in 5-7 days. This order was to help me get out and help with my mental health and all blacks have done is made my mental health worse and left me pretty much in hardship with there misinformation.     Ordered a Jacket from store, my size wasn't in stock so they ordered online. 7 days later I get an email saying my order has been canceled contact store for a refund The store is a 60 mile round trip for me and they wouldn't refund over the phone. Rang Blacks online who told me the item is actually in stock but wouldn't send me it because they canceled the order. I would need to go and get a refund 60 miles away and then reorder. I was promised 10% off the next purchase but not off the jacket and next day delivery. That email never arrived either. Wouldnt put me through to a manager, wouldn't put me through to complaints. The store said I have 60 days to make the journey to get a refund on a jacket I have not received. An absolute joke, I'll make sure the directors hear about this from Linkdin and every other forum I can find
    Thoroughly awful! Saw a great deal for a Fenix 6s - £369 fantasic! Ordered 4th January (money was taken then too), kept getting updates 14th January delivery - BUT when I opened the packaging there was no watch there! A COMPLETELY JOKE RIGHT?! Immediately ring up their customer services, make it clear I want a replacement ASAP. Told they have a 28day investigation period. Patiently wait, requesting updates each week 2nd February! ( they've had my money for ALMOST a month now!) they send me a refund. Watch is no longer in stock and they don't offer any alternative. DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP ORDERING OFF THIS COMPANY!     I made a order (#*******) of one tent, then they take my money from my bank. A few days after I tried to see where was my package and I discover that my order was cancelled (without any feedback). I checked my bank account - no money. I sent an e-mail asking information - no answer. Finally I was able to talk with a "Customer Care Agent", that did not gave me any reason for the order cancelling. I asked for the money, they said that was going to my bank account. I just talked with my bank and they don't have any information about that. I will wait some more days and if there is no update then I will go to the police. I needed the tent for this weekend, and now, I don't have nor tent nor money nor any justification for this. This is the most surreal shop where I ever try to bought something from. I advise you all to stay away.
    I PURCHASED SOME WOMENS "PETER STORM" WATER RESISTANT BLACK LEGGINGS - WELL! THEY MUST HAVE BEEN MADE FOR MIDGETS OR CHILDREN... THEY WERE RIDICULOUSLY TINY. SO I EMAILED THEM STRAIGHT AWAY, BECAUSE I HAD £60.00 TIED UP IN THIS TRANSACTION. I EMAILED ON WED AND I JUST GOT THOSE AUTOMATED RELIES THAT TELL YOU YOUR EMAIL HAS ARRIVED AND THEY WILL CON TACT YOU WITHIN 24 HOURS TO SORT OUT PROBLEM. IF YOU PHONE THEM IT COSTS YOU MORE M ONEY! BY SATURDAY I WAS SO FED UP... I BEGRUDGINGLY PAID THEM £3.25 TO THEIR RETURN/COLLECT SYSTEM. WHEN BLACKS KNOW I HAVE DONE THIS THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO EMAQIL ME ON SUNDAY WITH THE PROMISE OF A PAID RETURNS LABEL... CHEEK!
