When their system notified me that my $3 bar of soap would get shipped across the country by itself, I went online to request the order be held so it could ship everything together. When that was refused, I asked for the order to be cancelled. That request was also refused and a $3 bar of soap shipped... yikes. You don't need futuristic AI to figure this out, just a simple if/then statement that kicks-in when a majority of the order total involves 1-2 backordered items.
