They were quality items that lasted. They tended to be roomy or wide. Since then, counterfeit Crocs popped up, especially on Amazon. They could be a somewhat different size and shape from the authentic Crocs in that size and model, and not fit. Neither Crocs or Amazon are stopping the counterfeits. They could. Amazon might sell some directly? The Crocs that fit me before say Women's 4, which I think isn't an an American shoe size? I normally wear an American 6. I got married this summer, so now that I can start letting myself go I decided to order a pair for myself. They're great. Super lightweight and comfortable. The only gripe I have is that they run a little big. I wear a size 10.5 and, based on other reviews, I ordered a size down. Even the size 10's fit best with socks. Still very comfortable though. However, we have no path for returning them for a refund or exchange, except to travel hundreds of miles to another Croc's owned retail store. Croc's online will not take returns or do exchanges from retail purchases--even though a return of this type would require the customer to pay shipping (see online return policy). Anyone buying Croc's far from home should be cockeyed sure of their purchase, because for those living far away from a Croc's owned store there is a defacto non-return policy for unused products if they don't fit, or you just want to exchange them for a different pair.
