Ordered several items from them after Christmas and still haven't received them. I contacted customer service and they have done nothing. Will never buy another item from them. They deserve to go out of business!

Date of experience: January 6, 2025Ordered 2 tops by mistake separate orders each 10 shipping….arrived in one package with 10 shipping. Called to get credit for second top shipping said they don't do that. So I said basically I was cheated and scammed out of that money. His response yes that's how it's done! Well Christopher I'm done dealing with your company anyone admitting to be a cheater and scammer…nope!

Date of experience: December 27, 2024These are not the not the jeans that were sold in the stores. The material is thin and flimsy and the quality is no longer there. I still have some of the jeans I bought in the Christopher & Banks store and I could tell the difference immediately.
Date of experience: December 23, 2024If you order a clearance item -which conveniently is labeled 'all sales final' your order will be shipped slower than you can even imagine. They don't care do get it to you in a timely manner because they know you can't send it back. Ridiculous length of time to get my order... placed order on 12/9. Still haven't received on 12/22. No excuse. Will not purchase from this company again.

Date of experience: December 23, 2021I've shopped C & B stores in many locations for years! As a matter of fact, I had just placed an order when I heard the sad news. I've always been satisfied with the quality and sizing of their clothes. I've never had a problem returning on-line our bases to any store. Staff were always friendly and helpful. My closet is full of C & B clothing. I'm so sad they're closing. I intend to continue on-line purchases as long as available. Sending my best wishes to all employees. I'm sure it's sad for them as well.

Date of experience: January 16, 2021I had ordered two blouses from them and only one fit. Unfortunately, I have health issues that prevented me from returning one top within 30 days. I contacted customer service and even though I was only one week out they would not allow it. I requested to speak with a supervisor and they said their on a call, I said I'll wait. She said she didn't know how long it would take but would have the supervisor call me back. I asked will it be today? They said yes, 5 days later I'm still waiting. I loved the stores, but not mail order. They have lost this customer due to customer service.
Tip for consumers:They now charge return shipping and take it out of your refund. There is no grace period, even for established customers to make a return with extenuating circumstances.

Date of experience: June 13, 2022Quality, style, and fit of clothes is excellent; however, customer service not so. I needed a lot of help ordering a top. Initially the customer service agent was very helpful, but when my need exceeded her patience, it appeared she hung up on me. I ended up making an error with the item I ordered and now will have to return it. I am in my late 70s and not at all comfortable ordering on line. I wish this agent could have been more helpful.
Date of experience: February 10, 2023I have a small $25.00 gift card from the original Christopher and Banks. When they changed hands they would not honor previous gift cards. Let's think about this for a minute. I do not buy from them anymore. Haven't for over a year because I have the gift card to remind me that even though they are a different owner they chose to keep the name and stock of the previous owner, everything except to honor the gift cards. Truly a poor business decision. My friend in the same situation stopped buying from them also. Who knows how many others there are of us. Good luck Christopher and Banks!

Date of experience: October 4, 2022Ordered 3 medium mock sleeveless shirts and received 1 XL and 2 smalls. Called customer service and will be sent a shipping label to return and also reordered 3 more medium shirts and was told total was $16 and some change. Received order today and was again sent 1 XL and 2 smalls and was charged $27 and some change. I have shopped at C&B for years but will return items and probably not reorder. So disappointed!
Date of experience: May 7, 2021June10,2022 returned two items. Approximately 4 weeks later I received a refund for one of the items and charged a return shipping fee (which was expected). I have now called 3 times to get an update on the rest of my refund. Each time I have been told it is a software issue and they can't process the refund for the second item. I think this is a load of crap.
Supposedly this issue was moved to a supervisor BUT I have yet to receive any follow up from someone at Christopher and Banks. I have been a customer for over 15 years. If they plan to stay in business they need to do better! I will not be purchasing anything from them again.

Date of experience: October 30, 2023I ordered 3 items on March 27th for vacation. As of today, April 17th they still haven't even been pulled to be shipped. RIDICULOUS! I ordered these for a reason. I have called numerous times only to be strung along... "Oh, it will ship (this past) Wednesday. You will have it by Friday, (yesterday). We are moving warehouses and got behind. We will have it caught up by the end of the month. That is not my problem. Hire people if necessary. Aren't a lot of people out of work. While I like their clothes, if they don't get their act together soon, they will be one more retailer OUT OF BUSINESS!
Tip for consumers:Don’t order if you hope to wear an item during the season you’re buying for... their shipping is WAY TOO DELAYED.

Date of experience: April 17, 2021The selection here has gone the way of lowly discount stores. I can find better selection at Walmart! There are no colorful capris, only dark colors and denim. The tops look like something my grandmother would wear and I'm no youngster. What happened to the great buyers you once had when the brick and mortar stores were open. The unique clothes are gone and this is no longer a go to store for me. Sorry to see you go.
Date of experience: September 23, 20215-7 business days was plenty of time from 11/28 to be delivered before we left for 6mos. CB delayed fulfillment and UPS left sitting in IL for 3 days more. CB customer service refused any help. Purchsed specifically for this extended trip. Now will not be delivered in time and must have someone come pickup fom front steps. Bad business practices.
Tip for consumers:Do Not believe delivery time claims. The times change AFTER you purchase. And then CB claims they can't stop the order. You'll have to ask for refund AFTER it's delivered. They don't care that the items were too late to meet the customers needs.

Date of experience: December 17, 2020I have been a loyal CJB customers for many years, but have had my first bad experience. I purchased the black, gold, and white Plaid Popover Blouse, Item # **************. I washed it and hung it out to dry (I always wash clothing before I wear it). The first time I wore it, it snagged on everything; I was determined to be more careful in the future. The second time I wore it, it pilled under the arms and up and down the side - I have never had anything from CJB with such poor quality material. When I called for help, they told me that because I had washed it, nothing could be done. I am very disappointed in the customer service - I'll bet I'm not the only one having trouble with this blouse.

Date of experience: December 14, 2017Christopher and Banks's clothing is not only overpriced for what it is (average quality casual wear), but their advertising practices are deceptive. They constantly send you coupons that are practically useless (even the sales clerk at the Davenport store agreed with me), they have "special purchase items" that force you to buy two of something to get a decent price (for example two long sleeved tees for $30, or $27 each if you only need one) and racks and racks of sale clothing with no markdowns - you have to take it to the register to find the price. And don't expect these clothes to last for more than a season - they won't.
Date of experience: September 8, 2016I purchased clothing from Christopher & Banks for my 87-year-old mother for Christmas. She needed to exchange sizes, so she called for return labels... Never sent. She then called customer service and was told she could not return because it was only 3 days before the 30-day time limit on return policy was up. I then called and asked for a customer service rep and was told none were available and one would call within 24-48 hours… no call was received. My mother next day aired her return to make the 30-day return policy to address on the web listed for them. I emailed them and was told that the address she sent it to was their Corp office. If I sent a tracking number they would trace for her. Three weeks later no response. I emailed again and received an email stating that they need item numbers and tracking numbers and that the address the return was sent to was the Corp office… they also stated they provided a QR scan code on the original receipt that would have directed the return to the right place., 87-year-olds don't use QR codes or know what they are! I emailed them again and asked for a call back… no. Response! Sent my final e-mail and said would be writing this review and my communication with them was done. I strong feel that they did not show support for my mother and it borders on age discrimination! At what point do not pick up the phone and assist the customer especially an elderly one?
Date of experience: February 16, 2024Rather Confused.: Two weeks before Christmas, I and perhaps 2 other customers were in the Christopher Bank's store in Chambersburg. I was looking at the clothing on the wall. I did not realize that 2 employees were behind me and one shoved me aside so that she can hang merchandise up. As I made eye contact with the second employee who I read her lips which she said Hi? Needless to say, I left the store with no purchases and dissatisfied. I do have a disability which is not notable and if someone spoke to me. Like " excuse me please " I would not have heard. A tap on the shoulder or arm may have been a better approach.

First time I never received it. Second time I received a lable from UPS with ominous instructions. Sizing is an issue for me. One to large and one too small. This will be my last order.
