    I ordered their Happy Valentine's Day Sweets Gift Box for $140 plus shipping. Their website made it look very nice, professionally arranged, etc. It arrived with all the individual items jumbled in one big pile in the box. Very unromantic, thoughtless and scattered. Value of the contents was probably about $40. Arrangement and presentation was absolutely worthless. And, they included some big coupons in the box for the next time someone loses their mind and orders from them. Rip off, unprofessional company.     We ordered a Fine Meat subscription for my dad in December that never arrived. I called in January and was told it was an oversight and would be shipped immediately. I've now been charged $129.97 twice with zero delivery to my dad and a February date for the next payment. Customer service was terrible, refused to reimburse me while admitting that no merchandise had ever been received. My bank is now disputing the charges. I really expected more from Harry & David.     Damaged wooden box, fruit bruised and black. It's very hard to get the centerpiece out of this box without pulling it apart. I saw fruit this bruised and small and black on it in the pproduce at our local food city. I did not buy it!This was a gift for my mother-in-law. I prefer to talk to you than my mother-in-law. I don't want her to feel bad. We have received and given your gifts for over 30 years this is the first time it went wrong. We assume you will make this right.     I ordered pears from Harry and David in the past, and they came very well packed and very tasty. However, I saw that they had a sale going on in the beginning of February. I thought I would go for it. Well, that was a big mistake as the pears came all black. The rest of the stuff was pretty stale. I think if it's after Christmas and they're having a big sale, don't go for it. It's most likely going to be bad.     I was gifted a food package from my realtor. It included summer sausage, some cheeses, few chocolate chocolates, and a box of pears. The pears arrived covered with large black spots. The weather was very cold outside, and the pears almost looked burned. They were big black spots all over them. I contacted Harry and David and they sent me another box of pairs. The pairs they sent the second time were also spotted with black, except for one that was wrapped in foil and tissue, and it looked nice. I contacted Harry and David And they resent a third box of pairs. The lady assured me these will be perfect and I said they all need to be wrapped in foil. Otherwise they get black spots on them because I assume because of the cold weather. She said oh these will be perfect. They came, and they also were not wrapped in foil and also had black spots. I'm giving them a three because I peeled them and ate them anyway and they were absolutely delicious pairs but when you give them to someone as a gift they are ugly, you wouldn't buy them in a store you would walk by them. It was funny the way the picture in their brochure looks and the way they actually look was completely different. After three times. I just gave up and thought I don't think they're going to keep trying till they get this, right They don't care I guess because I told her one of their reps that they had to be wrapped in foil based (on the one that came that was wrapped in foil and looked good) and they did not follow up. I would strongly suggest don't give these as a gift to someone. The other food, the summer sausage the cheese, the chocolate was just not memorable Have no idea how much it cost so I can't weigh in on that.     I ordered 9 separate gift boxes sent to 9 different addresses. It was 12/22 and i was offered $7 shipping and delivery on 12/23. In the middle of the order, the promo quite working (Expired no notice) I was then promised delivery between December 28 and January 2 and the new shipping rate was $21. Of the 9 boxes, 3 were delivered on 12/29... the rest? Delivered January 5th. Embarrassing and the chat reps were rude.. Service Value Shipping Quality
    I get a least one gift a year from unimaginative family/friends. Not much effort to do and looks and tastes like no one cares. The fruit is always bruised and rotten. I just got pears and thought I could salvage some for a pear tart, nope, bad all the way through. I contacted Harry & David and guess what? They will replace the order with more rotten pears.     My dad died in December & a couple of friends ordered me a basket in December 3 weeks ago. I just received the box on Sunday January 7. Upon opening the box the fruit was spoiled and leaky. Unacceptable! I called and tried to rectify the situation myself to avoid the sender from being embarrassed for the epic fail of Harry & David while doing a nice gesture. Unfortunately, they already knew the outcome and were given a full refund. I ended up trashing the entire box due to its spoiled oozing fruit and appearance of looking as if it went through war.     I ordered a fruit box along with a cheesecake for a 95th birthday. The cheesecake came separately, and the fruit box has still not been delivered as the shipment says separate deliveries.     Do not make an order with this business. I placed an order a week in advance to make sure I get what I wanted on time. I was told by multiple people that I will get my order on time. The date comes and I have no information about my order, no tracking order nothing. I call again stating my issues then the owner states it was put on hold for another 2 weeks.     I ordered a gift basket mid November. It was shipped FEDEX. It has been at delivery points since 12-1. I know it's FedEx problem but they won't investigate with FedEx what's wrong. The basket had pershible goods. It will be a total disaster. Service Value Shipping Returns
    I placed an order for a gift basket for Christmass. I contacted their customer service to make sure the basket arrives before a specific date for an additional charge. I contact them again to double check and the customer service is extremely rude with broken English and ends the chat. Abysmal customer service.     I made one purchase (product was fine), but now I receive about 3 emails every day. I have tried to Unsubscribe 8 times online -- trying to change to monthly, to Unsubscribe completely, and finally in desperation I changed my email address to a dead person -- NOTHING WORKS. Their useless Unsubscribe page is a complete LIE. Next called Customer Service, and was assured I would be taken off the mailing list. Nope! Another lie. Called again a week later, and was assured again (by Janelle). I asked when it would be effective, and was told "Immediately." Days later I'm still getting emails. More lies. As others have noted, their ineffective Customer Service is "LIP SERVICE" only. I don't think it incompetence... it is crystal clear their inaction and disinformation is deliberate, unethical and business-stupid, basically, "We're gonna do what we want, to sell more, and we don't give a damn what you say or want, or how you're inconvenienced."     We were so disappointed. We ordered the Rose Cake because we have had such great treats from Harry & David in the past. The cake was lop sided, overly sweet, and overall, did not even come close to tasting as good as the $30 grocery store cakes we have purchased down the street. This cake was $80.00! Ouch! Don't order it.
    Extremely disappointed with delivery service and order confirmation misinformation. When I placed the order for the Christmas Brunch gift set, it stated delivery would be by January 8,2024. I spoke with customer service last night who informed me delivery is delayed until February 7th. The option offered by the customer service representative was to cancel my order. This is unacceptable because it was a thank you gift for a family member who provided tremendous help and support for our daughter's sudden passing in Florida. We live in Connecticut.
    Products are ok, but about half of my transactions with this company had unusually random problems crop up (all on their end), which then require human contact via phone or chat. I realize that I'm half of the language barrier, but it's happened so many times now I've seen a solid pattern of polite apologies alternated with intentionally not understanding or responding to whatever the issue may be. They'll keep you going as long as possible, even for hours, until you give up in frustration. It makes zero sense for a legit business to run this way, it almost feels like there's something else going on.     I paid extra for a delivery to occur by a date certain. The delivery did not occur. I contacted Harry and David to find out why the package was not delivered on time and when it would be delivered. The customer service representative told me it would be delivered the next day. As a courtesy she said she would refund my money. I told her I did not want the delivery cancelled. I was told it would still be delivered. Today, I called to find out that the delivery was cancelled. I know must scramble to find another present for a presentation that is to take place today. Do not count on Harry and David.
    Worst experience I've ever had with a mail order! The person that took my order could barely speak. English took me 40 minutes to place an order. When the people got their order, there was no acknowledgment of who sent the order to them! I called and complained And they wanted me to accept 50% off on any future order.     I have been dealing with Harry and David for a while and placed an Order for nearly 300.00 for a Turkey Dinner for a friend that was suppose to be Delivered on the 24th. It was not as it hasn't even left! They argued on the phone stating "WHATEVER" and I was wrong! My order clearly shows Delivery the 24th which I paid extra for, rather than admitting their mistakes they use the words "WHATEVER"! Unbelievable and after the recent 9 SEPARATE ORDERS I HAVE PAID FOR HARRY AND DAVID CAN GO TO HELL! LIARS!
    I ordered cookies, mandarins, pears and cheese, and honey-bells. Shipping was split up, I was charged for each shipment, delivery dates did not reflect same date when purchased. Called the call center (is overseas), they were rude, made excuses and gave no reason for delay and no helpful assistance - one agent actually told my 'fruit was out of season!' When I made the order I made sure to check that it was available for shipment as it states that underneath the product! I escalate to corporate and again excuses, excuses, excuses. I had issues a few years back and thought I would give Harry & David another try - no improvement in customer service, customer satisfaction or on time deliveries. Big mistake - definitely find another supplier that cares about the quality of service and is appreciative of your business - it is definitely not Harry and David!     Took them over a week to deliver a cheesecake, from the cheesecake factory. They were a day late with no email apologizing or saying they will be date. Awfully expensive... probably cheaper to go with other services
    I wanted to send a just because gift basket but was side tracked because, ONLY at the end of the order did it indicate shipment was 2 weeks away. It was a huge ordeal to cancel and then to be transfered to a separte organization for the "passport shipping" department to be refunded on that. Its an american company with customer service girls in the philippines who do not want to make waves for their employer and have you agree to terms you dont want like delievery dates two weeks out..     Ordered a V Day large item for senior person. It never made it. Harry and David stated 4-7 business days to arrive - it never did. Very disappointing and my last order ever. It's still on a truck who knows where. It's past 8:30 pm on V-Day - no package. My order number is *******772
