Not a few, but MANY of the appliance parts listed as available for models even a few years old are NOT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE. Yet they advertise and sell to you as if they existed. You are then advised they are "in process" and "shipping is imminent." There are many federal and state fraud statutes that this appears to violate.
To compound the issue it requires numerous certified letters, calls, and emails before you MIGHT get a refund months afterward. We need a class action attorney to make this fraudulent company go away.

Date of experience: December 19, 2024I ordered a part on Nov. 4,2024, was told it would be delivered by Nov 8,2024. Called Customer Service on Nov 9 was informed the part was in processed being shipped that day. Sent an email to customer service on Nov 12 was told item is out of stock, Website indicates item in stock and expected delivery within 4 days. I was then told part is coming from overseas and is expected to arrive by Nov. 16, still did not receive order as of Nov 17
I will not use Sears Parts Direct in future, constant mis information by Customer Service
Tip for consumers:Constant misinformation from Customer Service. Do not expect to receive order when expected, expect to receive at least 3 weeks later

Date of experience: November 17, 2024I would Sears Parts Direct give zero stars if possible. We ordered a part on the morning of 12/16/24, assured that it would arrive on 12/18. Checked order status later that day to see that it was backordered. Absolutely no indication was given that the part was backordered while placing the order over the phone with the representative. Canceled the order (or so we thought) via live chat that evening. Ordered the exact same part on eBay (in excellent condition and for MUCH cheaper), it arrived 12/20 and we self-installed, repair done. Sears Parts order still hadn't been canceled and no refund. Called the customer service line to cancel, were assured that it would happen and we'd see our refund in 5 business days. Didn't happen. Tried canceling repeatedly online through the order status screen over the course of the next week or so. Still nothing. All this time, we're receiving automated daily text messages and emails about the part being backordered. Called again on 1/9/25, were told that the multiple online cancellation requests were in fact showing in the system, but representative assured us that he would send the request again, refund pending in 3-5 business days. Lo and behold, what is SUDDENLY no longer backordered (despite another text message on 1/10 saying that it was) and shows up on our porch just now on 1/11/25, having just shipped out this morning? The part we have no longer needed for a good 3 weeks now. And I'm sure NOW when we call them, we'll get some nonsense about having to pay return shipping to get our refund. Heck no! If they won't take this back on their own dime, they're looking at a credit card charge dispute. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy anything from these scam artists! One can only hope they go out of business ASAP!

Last year I ordered a part from these folks without difficulty, everything was perfect; however, this year not so much. The tail of woe is below:
11/06/2024 - Ordered with $32.00 expedited shipment fee. Sears Parts claimed the icemaker heater was in stock.
11/07/2024 - Received email claim delivery would be 11/08/2024.
11/08/2024 - Part not received, no communication from Sears Parts.
11/12/2024 - Part still has not arrived. Called customer service and asked for an updated delivery date. They promised to send me an update in 1 to 3 days. I asked do you have the part in stock? They answered we have no way finding out the inventory in real-time. Order then cancelled by me. They promised to send me a cancellation email in 1 to 3 days!
It is now clear to me that if they have the part and everything goes well you might actually receive it. If the part is not in stock they do not have a system tell you when you might actually get it. I wish I had read the reviews on this site before I ordered.
Date of experience: November 12, 2024I had a refrigerator door hinge with no screws. Rather than mess around trying out different screws trying to find the right size, I looked the part up online and ordered the screws from SearsPartsDirect. They charged me $8 per screw, plus shipping for a total of $25 for 2 screws. I only did this because the site assured me returns were easy.
Once the screws came I took them to my local hardware store, identified the size, and bought a box of 6 screws (and 6 nuts) for $1.28. Then I started trying to do my return. The website didn't work. Every time I tried to initiate the return I ended up at the same error message: can't do this right now, try again later. So I tried calling customer service. Because of the long wait time I requested a call back. No call came. I requested a call back again. My phone blocked it as spam (coming from India). Called again and waited on hold. Phone rep told me he had sent me an email through which I could do the return. No email came. Called again and waited on hold. This phone rep told me I don't need to return the screws and he would send a refund to my credit card. That has apparently happened, but the refund is for only 95% of the purchase price and does not include the $9 shipping I paid to send 2 screws that could have been sent in an envelope with a first class stamp.
Maybe you're thinking that I was trying to take advantage of them by buying something I never intended to keep and $9-10 is simply the cost of the information I was seeking and you have a point. But in future I will "buy" my information elsewhere!

I spoke with 3 agents and a supervisor and they have not resovled to pick up the wrong order as of today 11-04-2024.

Date of experience: September 25, 2024They charged me twice for one small refrigerator filter. The first time (June 2024) they charged me $63.59 for a shipment I never got. I called and spoke to a rep who would have failed an English language speak test. I requested a credit and a cancellation. Instead, on the next month's statement I got a second charge of $77.36 with a credit of $15.99. Totally, they owe me $124.96. When I tried to call them back this month, apparently the cancellation took my info out of their system. So essentially, I can't get through to talk to another moron who doesn't speak good English and won't understand what's wrong and how to make it right. These people are thieves. DO NOT deal with them. Amazon has most of the filters for far less of the Sears price anyway. They deserve to lose what is left of their business. "The customer is always right" should be changed to "The customer is always screwed,"

Date of experience: July 8, 2024This has to be the most exasperating website. I ordered a $10 part. With shipping and tax it turned into a $22 purchase. Moments after my purchase I found the same part on Amazon Prime for $4 next day shipping. Since my Sears Parts Direct was expected in 2 weeks, and I just ordered it minutes before, I figured I could call and cancel the order. But NO. I was stuck in a robot from hell time loop. There was a robot "chat" that had the option to "cancel your order". I selected that and the AI from hell told me that I would receive an email once it was canceled, That's when I thought I might want to talk to customer service to confirm, but there is no option for any of the available numbers to "speak to someone". All are press a number (no voice commands). Anyway, now I'm stuck with this overpriced spring for my refrigerator. I guess it was my own fault for not doing more research before purchasing. Never again.
Date of experience: May 10, 2024First they send me the wrong part (not even close in part number or part itself). Then they send me the wrong return label which ships the wrong part back to me instead of them. They finally get the part and then forget about the refund. I had to chat and call them several times to get a refund. Twice they said they issued it but had not. Finally I get the refund six weeks after the initial purchase but the refund did not include shipping costs. WILL NEVER use them again.

I am sitting here on the phone now waiting to see why the part hasn't shipped yet, it was ordered two months ago. It is for a Sears lawnmower, at this rate it will be winter before I receive the part. Has to be one of the worst companies, that they have to revert to Lying to their customers. This will be the last time I order anything from anything Sears related. Such a sad commentary...

Ordering was easy, payment was easy and that's where it ends. In a few days I got a notice that my items had shipped, but due to a technical problem they couldn't provide info on shipping at all. Numerous calls, emails & texts all went to a robot who assured me via text that my order had shipped. Just LIE to the customer & tell em it's on the way!
With much persistence, I got a human on the phone and my order was not even processed.
CANCELED order with these shills!
Got everything from Amazon for $25 less.
It'll take about a week to realize you have been FOOLED by these idiots and then you will read the reviews………

I keep calling and they keep saying it will ship soon and I'll get an email in 1-3 business days. Never happens. They won't provide a reference number or email confirmation of any of their phone calls or chats. I think I'll just need to reverse the charge since they refuse to cancel the order even though it has been over a month and still says order is being processed. Then to top things off, the last representative tells me as a token of apology they will send a representative to my house for a free estimate to replace my windows, doors, HVAC, etc... Like we'd ever order from then again. Avoid this company if at all possible or at least be prepared to wait months for your product.

It arrived in perfect condition EXCEPT it was missing ONE of the 10 snap on wheels. Tried to get Sears PartsDirect to mail me ONE wheel. They would but said I would have to pay $42.49 for the part. Seriously?!?
The other solution was to ship the entire rack back and reorder the part. Gee, that's an environmentally friendly solution.
I do NOT recommend Sears PartsDirect.

Date of experience: May 18, 2023I needed a replacement top for my Samsung oven. All other sites wanted $300+ for the top. Sears PArts Direct want $100 and said it was in stock. I ordered it on a Sunday afternoon. After ordering I saw all the bad reviews and started getting nervous. Monday I got an email saying my top shipped and it was arriving the next day! The part arrived the next day as promised and it was a legit Samsung replacement part, not a Chinese knock-off. Kudos to Sears Parts Direct for the overall great experience.

Date of experience: January 25, 202314 days after cancelling my order (which I did as soon as I learned that the part was not actually in stock and there was no availability date), I received my full refund. So that was good ending. Another site, GRP, refunded the charge for an unavailable item within 24 hours. A third site, Walmart, had the part - or found the part - and shipped immediately. (There is a general problem in the industry: Some distributors/websites – but not all! - are listing parts "in stock" when they actually have no idea if it is available. They take your money and then sit on it until you make enough noise for a refund. They are probably waiting to see if any supplier gets the part in stock. In the meantime, have they invested millions of dollars from thousands of customers in MoneyMarket funds? Living off the float? And the honest distributors/websites who accurately list the part as "unavailable" or "out of stock" lose out.
Date of experience: November 23, 2022Site says part is "in stock" but it isn't. CC is charged immediately, but when talking with rep, they don't know when it will be in stock again. Errors do happen, but a week later the site still says the part is "in stock." That is not acceptable. And no instant refund. Have to fill out a form and then wait for reply to see if they can refund. That is also not acceptable.

“Poor Customer relations”

Poor Customer relations. Ordered parts for a craftsman chainsaw on 9-23-14. Received 2 of the 3 items. The backordered part was never given an expected delivery date. It is now November. Sears parts direct website says that they will respond to emails in 15 minutes I sent them 4 emails in October and I'm still waiting for a response to my emails. I will never buy parts or power tools from sears... ever. Sears gets its power tools made from other companies. I recommend buying from the company making the tool not from sears, they are just a POOR middleman.

Date of experience: January 26, 2018We ordered a range bottom which at the time showed in stock. We also paid for expedited shipping. After 2 weeks the item had still not arrived and no tracking was available on their site. Calling their customer service is an exercise if total frustration. Their robot sends you from one place to another and then tells you the item will arrive 2 weeks ago! If you call their general number you are assailed by an advert for some medical item and if you do not keep responding to the auto person then they cut you off. You don't even get to the first menu. Having read many other reviews it seems like this is their standard operating mode. This company should be investigated. DO NOT SHOP THERE! We have had to contact our credit card company to get our money back.
