I spent over an hour diligently selecting a few shirts because of the incredible advertised pricing. Total scam. Shirts were advertised as $15 deal per shirt, got an additional offer of 20% off for signing up, total scam. A $30 total before the 20% off ended up being $56 and change. Nothing was honest. I would have purchased at least one shirt if there were transparent pricing. The fact that the whole thing was an experience in lying and cheating prevents me from doing business with them.
Also, there are computers and larger car parts that ship less than what they charge for a featherweight t-shirt.

Date of experience: May 15, 2024This fabric is so cheap and shear that I cannot wear the shirt without another shirt underneath or it will be immodest. I paid $51.99 including shipping for a shirt which cost around 40 cents to make. This company is going to be out of business soon if they do not improve the quality of their products. I will personally never give Threadless one more cent of my money.

Date of experience: August 4, 2023If you click the Distribution + Online Exclusivity upgrade button then you enter into an exclusive contract with Threadless. If you want out you have to email them. Then somebody may respond and tell you when your contract is up. I confirmed through email that I do not want to be a part of any exclusive program with Threadless. They confirmed that they would "make that note on the contract so it doesn't renew. It should be active and reflected in your account until it lapses in September of this year." BUT they renewed it anyway.
I suggest you not get involved with this company. I have regretted working with them too many times now. I feel like they have been rude to me as I try to navigate working with them. They have also been careless, unorganized, unprofessional, and the product quality has gone down. No reason to take a risk and enter an exclusive "contract" with this print on demand site. I wish there was more info online about how difficult Threadless is to work with.

Date of experience: October 25, 2023I've been a Threadless customer for over ten years. I have noticed a significant drop in quality for their shirts. The design begins to peel and crack within a year of purchase. And it's a shame when I compare those shirts to ones I bought 10 years ago that are still holding up and look better.
Tip for consumers:They don't do refunds. They'll just send you another shirt.

Date of experience: May 14, 2022It should not take 2, 3, 4+ weeks to ship from FL to the Midwest. If you're charging you're customers for shipping, you should get the product in their hand no more than 4-5 days after the print has been made. I've dealt with much smaller made to order clothing stores that are able to turn an order around in 1 week flat. Till your shipping improves or it's free, I won't order from y'all again. Shipping this slow is bad business.

Date of experience: March 19, 2022I contacted Threadless about this problem, and they were very happy to send us new shirts. From now on I will make sure to wash them according to the instructions. Maybe the orange shirt was washed in cold all these years which could explain why it held up so much better. Honestly, I can't say for sure. But I was very pleased that Threadless did what they could to make it right!
Date of experience: December 5, 2020Threadless used to be my go to place to buy t-shirts. My kids have shirts from many years ago that still look beautiful. I was hoping to put them in a quilt one day, but the recent ones look just horrible. (The orange shirt below is YEARS old, the green one, very recent. Apologies for the orientation... for some reason the page would not allow me to rotate them.) They are printed with some kind of plastic material that starts to peel away after just a few washes. Can't believe they'd let this happen. So sad---no more Threadless for us.

“Quality took a severe nosedive”

Same experience as many other reviews. The print quality is terrible compared to how it used to be.
In the photo, the shirt on the left was ordered in 2012, and the print is barely faded. The shirt on the right was ordered in January 2021, and has obviously deteriorated, even though it's only ever been washed on 20 degrees. The same goes for all the other shirts from that order. Whenever we wash them now all the clothes in the machine are covered with print particles. Won't be ordering from Threadless again.

This isn't the kind of thing that you just see at Walmart: these are several tiers above that level. If you're into some niche hobby they probably have a dozen designs about it. Really good quality too.
Date of experience: December 16, 2020Designed a t shirt, simple logo format, 4 colors. The colors bled into each other at the edges, looking horrible! How can that even happen with current technology? They told me it was my fault and would not take the blame! Took the design to printify and it came out PERFECT with the exact same file! Do not use this $#*!ty web site and company!

Date of experience: April 24, 2022Very low quality. Designer's image was lovely but the transfer was sub par. I followed the directions and the transfer started peeling significantly after the second wash. No option to review on the threadless website.
Date of experience: February 28, 2021After support lied to me a number of times about completely missing the shipping time they told me they'd upgrade my shipping via 2nd day air. They kept telling me they've verified the items would be shipping soon. Turns out due to a "bug" they completely forgot to actually process my order (Other than charging me). They refused to push my order to the front of the line.
Finally a month late it "shipped" turns out it didn't ship. They added a shipping tag at DHL and USPS instead of the promised upgrade. It then sat in their warehouse at this point over two days still hasn't been brought to the carrier. I still have not received my purchase.
Date of experience: August 26, 2020I feel like this shouldn't be a something hard to understand but I just recently bought two hoodies and now it is the 6th and I am still waiting for order. What they really need to think is docking an artists pay just because they used their account because their husband doesn't know how to use the internet is completely unfair unless I am going to be refunded for making such a mistake because keeping the 77 dollars in their pocket and not paying us artists fairly is what is messed up. I will be leaving the Threadless platform once I am properly refunded and do my business elsewhere.
Tip for consumers:Be careful using this site because customer support has unprofessional emails as in you can sense the attitude in the tone when asking a question which they keep super vague. If you are also a sbo I more recommend a different website.

Customer service got back to me within 24 hours and helped me make the correction without cost to me. Very helpful, and the designs are fantastic!

Date of experience: September 13, 2023The face mask looks good although after trying it I noticed very quickly that the design wasn't too comfortable, so I decided to sew the ends of the mask to allow the mask nicely cling to the face. Original design created holes and it didn't look like it should. I also added plastic strip to allow mask form around nose. Before it was just cotton. Now my mask looks like mask and fits perfectly.

I asked for a refund several times but the owner had decided to take my money and not send anything. As of today he is saying he may ship it out(?) This company is a joke! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUYER BEWARE! They will just take your money and run. They don't care about customers!

Date of experience: November 5, 2023I ordered a Men's 2X black Nakatomi Plaza Christmas Party Survivor shirt to wear to a Christmas party I am attending tomorrow. Normally, I would order a XL, but some brands run small, which is fine.
The shirt arrived today. It is a women's medium yellow shirt, and the print looks like someone took a fuzzy gif and enlarged it to fit the shirt…making it horribly pixelated. This isn't something I would allow even my daughter to wear.
I have emailed, sent FB Messenger messages, and tried to call. The phone line was busy no matter the time I called.
Date of experience: December 16, 2022I opened a store to offer merch for my music. I ordered a sample of each of the products I intended to offer, before making the store public, which cost me $238.
I have found that most of them, across the different categories, look cheap.
The digital printing is always blurry (much less definition than in the original images).
The supposedly white background of some products looks more like cream than white.
The notepad was packaged with a 90° angle bend because they didn't want to use a larger box.
The pillows have knots in the fabric and even light brownish stains.
A friend of mine ordered a zip pouch and came up with the same opinion.
The website may look nice enough, but the products they actually deliver are far from making the cut and would damage any artist's reputation. I will have to go somewhere else.
Date of experience: June 11, 2020Cheapest of cheap cotton, sizing is wrong, a replacement shirt they sent me had the lettering/graphics blurry and out of focus so obviously no quality control. I bought shirts from them years ago but they have nose dived in terms of quality. Avoid at all costs.
Date of experience: January 24, 2018A few months ago I made my first order on Threadless. It still hasn't arrived. 15 t-shirts were, presumably, lost in the mail or not even shipped. I haven't heard a thing from the Customs office in my country so it's safe to assume that it hasn't arrived. Efforts to contact them have proved fruitless as I got no answers. I live in Portugal and our Customs service can be a bit prolonged, but i have never ordered something from America that took this long to arrive. If you are looking from a dependable t-shirt store i would not recommend this one. As for what i see from other people in my country at least, delays in shipping are always ridiculously large, my case being the most alarming.

You can buy better quality t-shirts in 1 dollar shop.
Also they have no return policy, so think twice before buying anything there.

Date of experience: August 17, 2017They really botched my order, bought a $100 worth of t-shirts for Christmas gifts - ordered it on December 1st, here it is the 17th, tried to reach their customer service, only email of course, took them three days to get back to me, told me they have a problem with their distributor - and I would probably get the shirts in 3 week to a month. To bad for Christmas, like I'm going to give them to people next month and tell em I'm a jack $#*!, here's your damn present. Never ever again, bad, bad guys!: (

Date of experience: May 9, 2020I used to love Threadless and supporting artists by ordering their T-shirts. I ordered from them in February and a month later they sent an email saying my order had been packaged with someone else's order and sent to them, I guess for free
I was not given the option of waiting for replacement T-shirts, but judging by the reviews here, that's fine. I don't want garbage quality anyway. I asked them to return what I paid for the order in full so we will see. It was my first order in 10 years and my last forever. If they print each T-shirt to order, how hard is it to send it to the right person?
Date of experience: March 8, 2019I tried to be part of their community by posting some of my own work for their contests but the community (Who vote for the designs to get printed) are usually unfair and unjust by voting other designs poorly to bring their own design's score up. And occasionally when a good original design is posted they will decline it and give you a comment they give every other person who is declined "We believe you can do better on this design".
Date of experience: July 30, 2014Our family has been shopping Threadless shirts for maybe 6 years now, we've purchased many t-shirts and they've all been great. Our kids are sad when they outgrow the shirts, but they've all been in good enough condition to pass along. Recently we miscalculated on sizing for a t-shirt and the customer service far surpassed our expectations in providing a replacement. We love that the company supports individual artists, and prints on demand. We will continue to order for ourselves, and to give as gifts.
