Their rewards policy is a racket. I used my earned points for a shirt on Saturday ($25) and then went to return it today and was told it was now on sale. They would not apply the $25 to the new purchase nor would they return my points to me. I earned those points from prior purchases and then they technically took them from me. Terrible company- I won't be back

Date of experience: August 15, 2024Very dodgy organisation, don't deal with them. Their so called returns policy is designed to ensure that nobody can use it. I was advised to return an item from Australia to England at my expense, costing more than the item itself.

Date of experience: March 13, 2024I had previously written a negative review, outlining how I spent a lot of money on some joggers that were soft and wonderful but after a week of wear they developed four small holes. I had contacted customer service about this issue and received no reply. I revised this review because they reached out to me three weeks later and replaced them for me, which I appreciated. Their response was slow but I know a lot of businesses have been having issues because of the COVID crisis so cutting them some slack. In the end they righted a wrong so I'm happy.
Date of experience: May 19, 2020I ordered a bunch of clothes from splendid on sale (final sale). To be fair everything (but one item) I ordered was nice. The one item i was not pleased with looked worn and arrived very wrinkled. After many back and forths with customer service they refused to refund me. I understand this item was final sale however given my argument and the fact it's impossible to tell what condition an item is in when you order online (although you do expect it to be new) I found this disappointing. Furthermore the customer service rep used passive aggressive language in her response.

Date of experience: November 9, 2023Purchased a hoodie jogger outfit for $300. Wore it twice and it started pilling in multiple areas for no reason at all. When we asked to return it they simply told us that it was normal to have fuzz balls all over the outfit and refused to give money back for defective item. Bad product. Bad service. Bad company.
Date of experience: January 23, 2024I purchased online a summer dress. It is free shipping and free return. The dress costs $198 but the quality is horrible, and the color does not match at all the photo on the site. So I decided to return with included Fedex return label. The half of barcode is missing and Fedex office said we cannot accept it. I called customer service and never reached anyone. I emailed but they never returned. I returned the dress by Fedex for which I paid, enclosing a receipt and missing barcode return label. I did not hear from Splendid anything. Terrible customer service! After a while, they just refunded me the dress. So it is not free shipping and free return. You'd better watch out.
Date of experience: March 31, 2018I bought 3 tops from the Splendid Store in Chicago after they told me how wonderful the clothing ist (and there was a sale.) - 2 tanks and an Oprah shirt. On one tank I found a hole in the fabric in the front the first time I wore it. Store staff readily exchanged it for a new one. Another tank got a similar hole in the front after 4 months of occasional wear. Then I found a hole and a run in the armpit of the Oprah shirt which also had occasional wear. I won't shop there anymore.

I reached out to customer service and I have proof of my online order confirming nowhere did it say "final sale" they are still refusing to return. I have since disputed with my credit card company.

Date of experience: June 28, 2022There is no one to speak to when there is a problem with the order. Instead you get the same formula email back again AND again! There is no phone number and no one cares. The cut changes without consistency so if you are a medium one day the next day you may need a large and no one cares.
Be careful since anything on sale is final sale even though it does NOT say that on check out.
Avoid!

Date of experience: December 21, 2021I purchased a Grayson Sherpa jacket on final sale. I looked up material and washing instructions prior to purchase: 100% poly (washable). I received the items (I spent $200 for me and $100 in baby clothes as a gift) and took all the tags of mf (the pinned on tags, not sewn in tags) so I could launder them before wearing. When I went to wash them I noticed that the jacked had a dry clean only tag on it. I reached out to Splendid to see if they would refund the item. The first human bot (humans with canned responses) that I spoke with said she would check the washing instructions. I advised her that I already saw the tag and asked for a refund since this was basically bait and switch. She refused to work with me so I requested a supervisor. I was connected with a "customer service manager" and was told that she could direct me to an organic dry cleaner. I'm well aware of how to locate a business that I am in need of. She then took it a step further and said that she "would have" made an exception and returned it but that I took the tags off and so rendered the jacket unsaleable. I found that laughable as we are talking about a single tag on a string that was connected with a little safety pin. Those are in short supply at their clothing company? At any rate, I am a huge Splendid fan BUT I will NEVER purchase from them again. And you know what? I'm sure they couldn't give three craps.
Date of experience: January 23, 2022Typically Splendid clothing is a little more expensive than most but because they use better fabrics. After obsessing over a pair of Ace & Jig overalls, I found a similar style at Splendid. I was apprehensive at first because they were $100 and a final sale because they were on clearance. After going back and forth knowing I would never find the Ace & Jigs anywhere, I went ahead and bought them. They shipped quickly and when I received them, they didn't fit! BUMMER! So I thought I may as well try to at very least get a store credit. So I sent an email and they agreed to "Just this once" give me a store credit. I thanked them and thanked them. When I sent them back I called just to make sure they received them and the gentleman that I spoke to said, "I see these were a final sale. You'll get a store credit." He further explained that it might be a few days more. Within the next day or so I noticed that I had been REFUNDED! No store credit and they didn't even charge me to ship them back. I won't say they'll do this for everyone, but you can certainly feel good about how they'll treat you and want to keep you for a customer.
