I wouldn't even give a 1 star. I purchased 2 hats as a Christmas gift. Spent $90, only to get $47 dollars back for returning both. They said I only returned 1 hat. Had to call them twice. Can't get ahold of anyone. Will never buy from them again.
Date of experience: January 9, 2025Ordered a Cavs outfit for my Grandson,It did not fit sized wrong had the Nike Logo So I thought it was authentic. Nope. Still trying to get s refund since Dec 27. Not sure if they're associated with the original LIDS store. Sent pics measurements (which is what they asked for) finally a message from the Mgr. So I replied and still waiting. Trying to get Mgrs. Name.

Date of experience: January 2, 2025Ordered a hockey jersey and 2 days later before I received it (I paid extra for quick shipping) the jersey went on sale for over $50 less. When I contacted customer service, they said the max credit I could receive was $27.
Poor customer service if you ask me!
Won't order anything from them again.

Date of experience: January 22, 2025I ordered a Texas longhorns hat as a Christmas gift. I received the package but they sent me a Tennessee hat. Customer service was difficult to get a hold of, and I had to start multiple chats. Finally they sent me a free shipping label and sent out a new hat. The new hat came yesterday, but when I opened the package AGAIN it was a Tennessee hat. I finally got customer service on the phone. The customer service agent tried to tell me that I ordered a Tennessee hat and when I gave him my order number with the correct hat I sat on hold for a long time. Then the agent asked me to find the item number. When I went to my conformation email and clicked on the item the hat was showing as sold out. The agent then told me that they would approve a refund, but not until the incorrect product was sent back to them. Overall I would not recommend ordering anything from this company it was a terrible experience.

The site needs to specify very boldly that you're not directly ordering from LIDS and that you're ordering from a company that's partnered with LIDS! Very inconvenient to return and customers aren't able to return to store! Will never ever and I mean never ever order again!

Date of experience: September 4, 2024They site offers free shipping ads everywhere as you shop. AFTER you finish authorizing payment the receipt show shipping fees of 5 dollars. The gag is to let you pay then act as if it is your fault not to have pre entered the shipping code. Very questionable business model. I think it reflects the true nature of the honesty of the business. I've had this happens on both Fanatics.com and Lids.com.
Date of experience: May 10, 2024Ordered a hat…took a while to get here. When it arrived, it was too big. No problem, right? Wrong! Instead of being able to cruise to the mall and exchange it, I was told I had to return it via snail mail. Only took over 20 minutes of Chat with some very unhelpful person online. Now, I need to wait for the shipping label, ship it back, wait for the refund to hit my account, and purchase a different size. No customer service phone number. Never buy from a place that refuses to take returns at a local store and doesn't have a phone number for customer support. Place is trash.

Date of experience: April 12, 2024I ordered 3 gifts for a friends birthday with the standard shipping, thinking they would arrive in 3-5 business days. I received an email 1 minute (!) after placing the order telling me that the entire order was cancelled. I did not cancel it. The items showed that they were in stock when I placed the order. Everything looked ok. So what happened? I tried to find out from Customer Service but the chat bot was useless and there was no phone number to be found to talk to a LIVE ADVISOR. Never again will I do business with Lids!

Date of experience: December 26, 2023I posted a review about a terrible experience with lids on 12-3-23 and fan relations reached out to me and basically made me more mad. Today lids customer service resolved the issue within 20 minutes. I know people make mistakes and that's ok but when a business takes accountability for their mistakes shows they care, and at the end of the day that's all you can hope for. I'm completely satisfied with the outcome and look forward to more purchases from lids.

Date of experience: December 9, 2023Ordered (1) item...a pair of Alabama slides on July 23rd, today is Aug.8 and still no delivery. Spoke to custome service 5 days ago and was rudely told delivery was 3-7 business days after processing, well Mr. Asian man I spoke to, today makes 12 business days and tracking doesn't tell me anything different than it did 9 days ago. I will NEVER NEVER order from lids online EVER again in my life! Not sure if I'll even receive this order.

They will not reply to emails! Avoid Lids at all costs. I literally hate this company if that's what you would even call it. Thief's are happy to take your money but be assured you will never receive your items. Pathetic $#*!wits!

6 weeks later still have not received a thing. They ignore all my emails asking where my order is, and me asking for a full refund for items they don’t even have. Still have not received a response. They ignored my 150 emails I sent. So pissed off with this pathetic shop.!!!

LIDS website is designed to discourage/prevent returns. Another unfortunate reminder to me to check websites I have never ordered from beforehand.

Lids.com (AKA Fanatics) should have a disclaimer on every product page that states that it will take over a month for orders to be delivered (if at all). Please DO NOT order from this site or you will wait endlessly for a product that is never coming. Waited over a month, only for their support team to tell me that my order was "Lost in transit" twice. It's basically a scam website that doesn't honor any delivery commitment. You have been warned.

Date of experience: January 13, 2022Got wrong size hat and online it states you can go to the local store to return or exchange just to find out the cant do anything about it bc i did not buy directly at the store so they told me to follow return protocol on line that ended costing me $9.99 to return or exchange out of my own pocket even though the company had originally charged me $4.99 to have it shipped to me. What a joke. Not to mention that they had a handling fee and taxes that ended up costing me $37.10 to begin with that Im only receiving $19.00 back on. Their value of integrity is not good at all and i will never but from their on line store again. Be aware

It fits perfectly with the Lids stores that always have rip offs and rude people. Two rude boys in black shirts and blue caps are mocking people for no reason as they go into Lids sports store and make fun of more people in there in Palm Desert, CA. Lids is a fake.

I was planning on taking it on my European vacation but looks like it won't arrive in time. Thanks Fanzz for having horrible customer service.
Date of experience: July 12, 2016Employees (male and female)were really not good people in general. Talking about a female customer's voice that it was too deep. Talking about customers from Mexico. Though, McAllen area is 99.99% Mexican and employees themselves are Mexican American. Told me I can become a member and get additional 20% off merchandise for $5. And employee did not give me my membership benefits. I'm really tired of companies that just play the game with people. I understand it's a business but most don't care about customers. I will never again go to Lids unless I know an employee of theirs is a good person.

Ok I was mad at first cause they kinda just threw that on checkout and I didn't notice it (my fault) but it's taking it 6 days to get here! Im not one to do negative reviews but this is ridiculous! Do yourself a favor and go to fanatics. Won't buy from lids ever again.
Date of experience: April 3, 2023Ordered a Jersey for my son on December 14. Was guaranteed to have it before Christmas. Today December 28 still no Jersey. The manager at the Bend, Oregon store is awful! She is no help and quite rude when answering any question I have. I work retail and I know the way shipments and ordering work. My friend was the previous SM so I know what processes and procedure they have and she has no clue. Terrible hire Lids! Maybe you should call Moe and get him back in that store before it goes out of business! I will never shop this company again! Total disappointment.

To top it all off, the full charge has been pending on my account for days. Honestly think this is done on purpose. So they can just ship out each single item for full shipping price.

Date of experience: May 22, 2020In the past two years I've accumulated approximately 300 to 400 hats, including college, covering all the divisions for as low as $5.00 per hat. All the major pro sports hats starting at $10.00 per hat. I'm on a fixed income, and try to get as many per month as my budget allows. At Lids.com I've amassed quite the collection. They have so many ways to save on their site, I am the biggest sports nut, and Lids totally satisfies my cravings for hats. That's not all, they have everything, such as jerseys, pants, and all types of things. Simply go to Lids.com and check it out.
