Only order from TigerDirect if you do not care if or when you ever receive your order. They used to be great, but apparently they cannot compete with Amazon, Walmart, others. A week has passed and they still have no idea why they haven't shipped my order. This was the one time I strayed from Amazon... never again.
Tip for consumers:If you don't care if/when you receive your items, go with TigerDirect. But their phone number does not work, and they don't answer you on social media. If you chat them through the website you will get someone very skilled at apologies.

Purchased and paid for MB and expedited shipping. Three days later package is still "in process".
Calling brings a " we are merging warehouse" excuse. Not my problem.
Can't cancel the order either because it is "in process".
Stay away from these clowns! I went back to Newegg where I've never had any issues!

Date of experience: April 21, 2016They pulled off that scam where an item was on sale, very good price, allow me to add to basket and then when it was time to deliver, 'oops, item doesn't exist'. Of course I had purchased other items as well. Never went back to the store nor online again, bye.
Date of experience: January 23, 2017I purchased a WD Wireless Pro from them because they were the only online store showing it in stock. Then I received a notice it was on back order. It finally shipped and I received it mid-April. It was dead out of the box. I let them know and dealt with WD directly and it was confirmed to be defective. I told TigerDirect and said I wanted a refund. They requested the email chain with WD which I provided within 24 hours. Then they stopped responding. I filed a complaint with PayPal where they waited until the last moment to respond and finally agreed to let me return it. Tracking shows they received it yesterday so hopefully next week (6 weeks after receiving a defective product) I should get my refund.
They used to be good back in the day but I will never buy from them again.
Tip for consumers:Don’t do it.

Date of experience: May 28, 2022Tiger direct offers interesting price but one should expect an open return policy from a company who do not invest in local stores such as Best Buy.
However, it seems to be falling into a death hear.
I bought for $500 of equipment including a home phone system. When I received it, I immediately disliked it (mostly it was lagging between numbers) and asked to return it so I can get another one. They refused since the item was not broken. Of course I could break it but is it really what it comes to?
I am through with tigerdirect essentially because they do not understand the whole concept of online buying and let the whole risk fall into the buyer.

This is the very first time I've ever attempted purchasing an item from them and I requested a refund shortly after reading some online reviews and I am only receiving my money back after about 25 phone calls 3 different service associates and over 4 weeks of fighting it. They were the opposite of helpful and they also tried charging me a restocking fee for an item that I never even saw in the box. Don't EVER trust them even if the item you need is at a discounted price. Not worth your time. They had $700 sitting in their account and the item for the last month and I still don't have the money and won't until tomorrow.
Date of experience: February 1, 2023I just placed an order for a CPU that said "in stock." When the order showed up on the web page, it said "back ordered" with no fulfillment date. Then I discovered that there is no way to cancel the order online. You have to email customer service. Oh, and they already charged my credit card. If you have any other alternatives, don't use this one.

Date of experience: October 12, 2022They want 15% restocking fee to return an item I purchased a week ago plus I pay for shipping. I never saw this published anywhere on their site. Although I'm unhappy to pay this I said ok, lets get this going. Customer support keeps saying they have to get this approved that I will hear back in 24 hours, that was five days ago. TigerDirect is a BOBO company, spend a few dollars more and have piece of mind, I got cheap and this is what you get. Stay away... please!

Date of experience: April 26, 2022I ordered parts from them on Monday at 11 AM. I paid for overnight shipping. As of Wednesday they still haven't even shipped. When I talked to them on Tuesday one of their reps just hung up on me rather than finding out when the order would actually ship. I called back and got another rep and she promised they had stock in a warehouse in New Jersey and would definitely ship that day. Wednesday and they still haven't shipped and today the story is there was a glitch on their order system on Monday so the warehouse still doesn't have the order but he would be happy to send it over today. Rotten service and worse their customer service people can't be trusted to give you an honest answer.

Date of experience: January 7, 2022While the prices are great, I can't comment on the product quality as I haven't received it yet. Lost by the shipper. But when I called to check on this, that's when things went south. The first call ended abruptly when I expressed my displeasure at them not using the carrier I requested (I was firm, not yelling), they hung up on me. Second call ended when I asked to speak to a manager. Third call ended when I asked to speak to someone who spoke English as a native language. 4th call was dropped after they connected me to FedEx. They should have at least stayed on the line to verify that the package was being found. I have to say, I will NEVER but another item from Tiger Direct.

Date of experience: February 22, 2022Ordered this PC and got an email confirming the order. However, when I checked on the order status later I found that it had already been cancelled. Did not get any notification of the cancellation. When i called customer service, the first one told me to just wait and the second told me the inventory was gone. On the website it seems there has been no update and you can still order. Really terrible way to run a business and makes the company look sketchy. At least notify the customer when an order is cancelled and don't waste their time.

Check out Epinions.com for all reviews in the past 3 years. I buy a lot of electronic and computer equipment. These guys are scammers - bait and switch, delete negative reviews (including mine), misleading product listings and false deals. They cheated me out of money and now won't acknowledge their false product display. I'll stay with Newegg.com and Amazon from now on.
Date of experience: July 27, 2013I purchased a laptop on November 30,2015 for our daughter's Christmas present. She has been having lots of issues with it so I called to exchange it. I was told that they don't honor anything after 30 days so too bad. Nothing they could do about it. This is a brand new computer and we paid a significant amount of money for it. I will never shop there again, and I am telling all of my friends to never shop there either.
Date of experience: January 13, 2016I purchased a refurbished desktop computer from Tiger Direct in October 2020. The delivery was supposed to be made in 3 - 6 days. The computer has not shown up and is apparently back ordered. It is now December and I received a letter from a company called PCM from El Segundo, California. The letter says that if my computer doesn't arrive within sixty days it will be automatically cancelled. Also I can cancel now by calling PCM's number, which I tried to do but it disconnects my phone when I call. I have now purchased a computer from another vendor.
Tiger Direct's customer service is no help. I tried to contact them and told them I need to cancel the order, but they do not respond, other than trying to get me to purchase a tech support scheme they have which costs money every month. The person on their chat was also very rude, and I still have no way of cancelling the October order.
I think this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Long story short, I called numerous times, and was told they had to do an 'investigation' because they weren't sure what happened. Each time I called, their customer service reps were not only rude but weren't able to provide any info. One guy that I spoke with had a rooster crowing in the background. I also sent emails that went unanswered. Finally a whole month after I placed the order I was told that the item was out of stock, no apologies and no remedy for the situation. Their website states they will not charge for any items not shipped but they charged me for both laptops and now I am chasing down the refund. I will never order through them again!

The service was incompetent when I needed to find an answer as to why my new "refurbished" computer did not work from the get go. I had to get another one and get a friend who was a tech to help me. They NEVER came through. The square trade purchase was a waste of money and no service. I also purchased surveillance cameras from Tiger direct in Tampa. The Swann service has never come through. Date of experience: February 1, 2015I used to purchase a few things from Tiger direct about 10 years ago. I don't live in the region any more and thus have no interest in receiving their promo emails. The emails come at a frequency of 1 a day and sometimes 2 per day. When I click unsubscribe I get a screen saying that my order could not be completed (there isn't any order) and that I must call a number. I called the number and they said they would remove my email from the list. I got more emails.
Also, I made a rule in gmail to delete all emails from them and they still come into my inbox. How is that possible?
Because I ordered a few times from them, I can now not get rid of their daily onslaught of marketing emails. This is a terrible service.

Date of experience: June 6, 2020I used to get great deals from tiger direct. I recommend them to all my friends. A month ago I ordered my kid a computer that was listed "in stock". It was the only thing I could afford my 12 year old this year. The week before Christmas I started trying to contact tiger direct. They have not shipped the item, or gave me a time when they expect it may be back in stock. Immediately after I paid for it, they said it was on back order. They have a hold on my money, so I could not buy him a gift from somewhere else. I have sent 7 emails, with no response. I have tried to call, and never got anyone. They still send me emails telling me to buy the same computer I ordered, that they will not send me. I will be reporting them to the bbb on Thursday. Do not give tiger direct your money. You may get ripped off like me.
Date of experience: December 26, 2022I have ordered refurbished PC from this agency. Computer works good, but was missing Wi-Fi adapter. Emailed customer service, took them 2 days to respond. To make long story short, I never got my Wi-Fi adapter. Would not buy from them again!
