I believe the cropping issue was because I was doing it on a mobile phone. But the site never should have let the order go through if it was going to come out blurry. Other sites have warning messages and since I didn't get a warning I expected it not to come out blurry. I used a 3.5mb photo taken by a professional camera. Canvasdiscount.com dismissed me while adding that "Inevitably some details, especially in dark areas, will be lost." They sent me a 40% coupon for my next order.
