Yext Review
Well developed sales process and on-boarding process, all the rest not so good. Need to wait months for issues to be finally looked into, duplicates are not being suppressed, info is incorrect on some listings... very disappointed with Yext
Date of experience: April 22, 2018Every time I speak with one of their reps, it seems I get nothing but grief. I was recently on a conference call with 4 of them. They promised to finally combine my 2 accounts that I've repeatedly requested for 3 years now. I also told them I was not interested in buying blocks to save money and was happy with my buy as I sign clients up. What did they do? Well, without notifying me, without first invoicing me, without any communication whatsoever, they charged my credit card $12,973.33. So sick of their games.
* Yext attempted to help this customer through the Sitejabber Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond
Date of experience: September 28, 2018After we paid 100s of dollars, they just disappeared, and with over 20 requests from their site and countless calls and text to the agent that sold this system to us. We have NOT got one call back to help finish setting us up.
Tip for consumers:If you are needing help with your company and not an internet savvy, do not use this company to help you set up the system that you pay for.
Products used:We have their system that we paid for and we do not know how to use it. we put in 20 services request. Countless calls and texts to the agent that sold this to us.

Date of experience: May 26, 2021It has been the best marketing decision that I have made since in 2014. It has improved the marketing of my program by 100%, and every year it is worth the investment. It's a great system for any business, and yours too.
Date of experience: November 27, 2019I had been a customer since 2018 with all my customers using the service. I was automatically renewed in late February. I reached out to my rep to discuss and he never responded. I just concluded a three month communication with Yext's ticket system and they will not cancel my auto renewal as they claim i had inform them 30 days before renewal. Had a rep contacted me i would have. These are tough times. All my agency's clients are closed. I had cancelled each individual client account with Yext. I offered to pay one month as a compromise but they will not accept. I just told them to terminate my account completely and will never work with them again. I assume i will see them in court. What a poor way to treat a customer. There are plenty of other services out there.
Date of experience: May 19, 2020Yext manages Yahoo's search engine. For month's now they have listed my business hours incorrectly. Trying to reach someone who can fix that is so far for me impossible. Yahoo directs you to Yahoo's own website who then after a few frustrating phone calls directs you to Yext. After a pleasant text interaction they were able to direct me to register to claim the free listing. Easy enough however they don't have a place to enter business hours unless you pay them. They stopped texting me when I declined to upgrade and puchase the service. I might have looked at their product if they had been willing to help me with my issue.
Date of experience: April 22, 2019Started with Yext in 2017. It was ok and it was a resource I needed to generate more business with. Watch out for the auto-renew as it's difficult to cancel with YEXT as there is absolutely no live contact, no email nor phone to cancel! Disputed with my credit card company but it may take up to 90 days for a possible refund!
Date of experience: November 27, 2020I just want to update my address for maps and I get rude $#*! emails from this company. I got a call saying I needed to pay, to update my listing. This company is garbage. I go online and set up an account but can't make any changes there either.
Date of experience: March 14, 2022This people are very dishonest please do not hired them for your Bussines or you will lost your money!
I have a account with them and they did nothing for my bussines even Google recommended me to ask for my money back and I did but they send it to a wrong bank account and I lost my whole $449.00 please if you dont want to lost your money do not hired this company they are very disrespectful and manager are very bad costumer service. After i lost my money they did apologize and said that was a mistake from the agent and offers me another packets for my bussines ridiculous ahh
Date of experience: July 25, 2018I normally wouldn't leave such a horrible review of an online business but I do wed development as well as SEO and this is just a bunch of poop. They list you in web sites that almost no one uses, some of the sites where actually going out of business until they were placed in the Yext arena.
It's a scam. If it was a good thing they wouldn't constantly send out huge amounts of SPAM begging and attempting to have people purchase.
Web Developers and SEO specialists do not use them, if you were the average Joe or business don't waste your time...
Let me put it this way. If it wasn't for the amount of SPAM you get from them you wouldn't even know they exist. It proves how useless they are.
Date of experience: February 1, 2019This company tries to get you to sign up with them. They don't do what they promise in the first place, and if you ever leave them all the listings they've created for you are owned by YEXT so, If you ever need to update or remove this listing in the future, you CAN'T! You are stocked and there is nothing you can do! In addition to that, you not getting a customer support if you are not paying this company, they act like jerks if you are not their customer anymore.
Date of experience: October 5, 2018I went to Fazolis for lunch and I received the absolute best customer service I have ever had there. The lady whom I assume was the manager brought color pages to our kids refilled our drinks took our dishes and brought us breadsticks. This is the place to be if you want excellent service it is well worth the stop in. Thank you Fazolis
Date of experience: February 29, 2020You know what is FASCINATING? Yext is a directory and reputation management business yet they are strategically hidden online. Their Facebook page doesn't allow reviews. They have no Google business listing to also screen reviews. Now I know why and you should too! So we are left with third party smaller platforms that luckily give people a voice to help inform future buyers.
First off, please note that you have to provide cancellation within writing 30 days prior to the end of your contract. If you do not, Article 3.1 of the "automatically renewed" contract will lock you in for another $6000+ ($3000 bi-yearly) annual fee. There is absolutely NO GRACE PERIOD to reverse the charge. So if you don't put an automatic reminder on your own calendar or renewal emails go into your spam folder, you're screwed.
When you try to request a refund 2 days after the renewal, they say "Sorry. Article 3.1 has locked you into a new contract." So shady and such a poor business model by Yext. This wasn't a customer coming to them 6 months in. They were contacted the day it was reflected on the bank statement. My advice, if you are signed up with Yext already... contact them to disable automatic renewals so that you don't end up in an expensive vicious cycle of renewing bills and renewing contracts. But my better advice is to support another service that makes honest money from people who actually need the service and doesn't have to take advantage of people. We will be looking into Moz Local, they will let you pay by client listing while Yext makes you sign up for a minimum.
Date of experience: April 2, 2020My experience thus far has been exquisite. Adam called me to go over how to use Yext. He did not rush me, made sure I understood each aspect, and even let me make changes throughout our conversation. Thank you, Adam for the great tutorial!

Date of experience: October 13, 2017Total scam. They essentially hold your business information's accuracy as hostage, then copy and paste the same response to every comment listed on this page. Go ahead, read the rest of these obviously outraged people rant about how yext and company extort them in order to update a business address, etc. If you're reading this, you might have the smarts to avoid submitting your business information to yext. Good luck!
Date of experience: February 20, 2014We actually have not contracted with Yext, but I have looked into them because we constantly get emails stating that our business listing is incorrect on many sites. This was a red flag, because I go to the sites and find that everything is fine. I was also concerned that the Yext staff evidently can't do math. On their top package, the weekly rate comes out to less yearly than what they charge for a year of that plan. When their site shows us "everywhere" we are listed, "incorrectly, not at all, or are missing information on", they also show us as not having a Facebook page. They really need to do their homework before they just keep trying to scam people like this. We have a Facebook page, and our listings are correct on almost every SEO related site.
Date of experience: September 16, 2014All businesses will find old indexed data that doesn't go away. Yext will continuously fix things that repeatedly need fixing. If you look at many indexed websites, they're purposely listed differently to game internet indexing. For example, a listing a 100 Main St, # 505 usually reflects a location when viewed on a graphic map that is often a location where there is no unit # 505. Type the main address in a search engine and it will list the current tenants. Welcome to the world of SEO for free.
Date of experience: January 29, 2017After working with a client's YEXT account, I became a Certified Yext Partner and now offer it as a new service to my clients. I tried it out for my own site first. It has greatly increased my exposure across respected local business directories and apps that are searched by over 220 million people per month who spend $11 Trillion per year.
It is all about the exposure to potential customers searching for products and services that are local to them. They will search locally online first before they walk in the front door to do business with you. Yext is a great asset for businesses wanting expand their reach, elevate search rankings and increase brand recognition.

Date of experience: December 18, 2014I work with several vendors at my agency. I have to say honestly Yext is number one in customer support. They are always thorough in there replies which is so appreciated because this isn't the case with most other support. Even Google and they also get back to me in a timely manner. Thank you for being a great partner.
Date of experience: October 27, 2017It's a shame that our company even has to take the time to write this review, but after looking at the others it seems to be a consistent pattern of how Yext deals with their clients and try to keep you on a contract that they didn't even fulfill.
We were left hanging for weeks to learn the program and receive help from their "experts" yet - they fail to deliver. We decided to test on our own and luckily we were able to manage it briefly... but afterwards noticed the value was something we could do ourselves and didn't feel the need to proceed forward.
Were hoping our company's review will be taken seriously for anyone to consider them and be sure to write more reviews on other platforms until Yext can come to an agreement with us.
Date of experience: February 27, 2018If you have a question on a charge they have made to your credit card, they will NOT talk to you on the phone. You can to email them at Customer NO Service or dispute the charge with your credit card company.
Date of experience: November 3, 2020Things were a little confusing after my companies Yext purchase. There was no receipt and I didn't receive a login after processing the credit card. They redeemed themselves with their customer service over the phone and I was granted access to our account quickly. I'd like to thank them for their help!
Date of experience: April 26, 2017Does anyone know how does Yext verify the Merchant address and Phone #? Let us assume that I am a business ABC with XXXXX98 phone number however just to take advantage of/ruin reputation of other business I list my business as XYZ (more popular one). Does Yext verify this data and if yes, how long does this take? Have you come across any clarification by Yext on this?
Date of experience: March 13, 2014I have not received much traffic from Yext regarding referrals. So, I have little experience on rating at this time. Need to be more effective!
Date of experience: October 31, 2014I was told for 3 months by YEXT that my web site could not be seen on Yahoo
Today it is still not seen on Yahoo in the state of NH
