    I ordered some stickers, 4 packs of Christmas stationary and address labels on November 14. On November 27 the stationary and address labels finally shipped, They will maybe arrive December 3. When I called on Monday, December 2 about the stickers, I was told they were being put in a box and should ship by the end of the week. Three or four days to put stickers in a box? After they ship, it will be 3-7 days for delivery. I love Current products, but right now something is wrong. I keep getting texts and e-mails with marvelous offers-percents off and free shipping. I wish people knew if they order now, it is most likely not arriving by Christmas. Sad, sad, sad. Date of experience: December 2, 2024
    I have placed many orders from Current Catalog, including personal checks. I needed to reorder checks. I can find my previous order but no option to copy the information to a new order. I tried the online chat but got no where with the questions they present. I did not want to have to retype all the info and risk a typo error. I tried calling the online order number on 8/19 and was told there is a high call volume and to leave my name and number and they will call back within 24? Hours. They did call back but I was not home and did not have access to the info needed. I tried again on 8/20 on my laptop. I kept getting the online chat popup with no way to exit out of it (usually an x at the top of the screen or leave chat option). I typed that in and was told to refresh my screen which I did but that did not change the chat screen. I tried calling the online order line again and again got the message that there are high call volumes and to leave my name and number and expect a call within 24 hours. I said I wanted to speak to someone and would hold but that was not an option. I have since gone to another site and placed an order in a matter of minutes and will no longer be doing business with Current. Products used:None, placed an order with another company.     Ordered checks 1-1/2 months ago and they haven't shipped yet. The customer service person had no idea when they will ship but refused to give me a refund. Don't be a fool, don't buy from this place.     My mother always ordered from Current and I became a loyal customer as well. I was always very pleased with the products I received. In the last 10 years or so, though, everything is about cost cutting. The products look cheap, the shipping boxes are so poorly made many products arrive damaged. The last order I placed I received a 20% off coupon. You would think that was a good offer. Not so as the "shipping and handling" cost was more than the 20% off! And they now add another $2.99 surcharge. I'll be looking for another place to buy my products from here forward. So very, very disappointed. Their reputation was stellar and now it's just despicable. Tip for consumers:Right now I'm awaiting my order. I wrote this based on the extremely high shipping and handling costs. Other companies offer free shipping and Current chooses to just rack up the high costs and screw the customer. I think it's ridiculous that opting for the $1.99 shipping on an order over $40 was a better deal that 20% off an order for $85. They've also added a $2.99 surcharge.     Large order made, missing an item that I need, making me wait almost 3 weeks to ship UNREAL (10-12 days to see if shipped separately then an extra 5 days).     Every year, soon after Christmas I order items for the next year. This year my order took 17 business days to arrive, well past other years. When I opened the large box, I found curling ribbon rolls jagged and broken with pieces in the bottom of the box, as they were NOT packed securely inside. Also the wrapping paper roll I received, the plastic did not cover the entire roll, so paper is exposed. There is not enough plastic to cover the whole thing. Late and no effort to secure their product is what they have accepted. NO EFFORT to ship appropriately. One of the wrapping papers - was shown with a light blue background with snowflakes, candy canes, reindeer, Santa, and Christmas trees on the website -it is dark green-blue, not exactly a winter wonderland - no wonder it was on sale.     No stars so far. I should have done my research about this company. Haven't gotten my order, it's been 12 days- estimated time was 8, and there is no way to contact them. Very frustrating because my package hasn’t arrived, there is no shipping tracking, the contact number doesn’t recognize you, and the e-mail response said to allow 15-20 days, but the invoice said 8!     Placed an order that cost $13, shipping cost around $10, nearly doubling the price... you would think it'd be shipped in a pretty fair amount of time, yeah? Nope. If it was in transit, that's one thing, I can understand that, but no, they genuinely haven't even started shipping the order yet! 2 weeks have passed and I realized just how long its been since I placed the order, so just to confirm, I checked for an email I might've missed, nothing. Went to the website and used the track order button they have, no tracking info available, meaning they seriously just haven't even bothered to ship it out yet, and it honestly feels like I'm just getting scammed at this point. If I'm paying for the shipping, especially that much when its just standard shipping, I'd like to think it's at least gonna get sent out that same week.     This company isn't even worth one star. I ordered Oct 18 and have been told four times my order was coming. Then told it would be sent when backordered items came in. So four phone calls and each one a representative lying. I purchased items for birthday, order didn't make it. Ordered for Thanksgiving... getting close so doubt it makes it either. The wrapping paper will no doubt have to be used next year. Thank goodness I didn't order anything personalized, that would really throw them into a tizzy. It is sad because this company at one time was a good company. Now it has become a total joke. Save yourself disappointment and aggravation and order from someone else.     I ordered $494.00 worth of product on 1/2/2022. Part of this order was timely items for Valentine's Day. I gave current 1 1/2 months to get my items on time. The original order said the delivery date would be 1/17/2022 to 1/21/2022. It is now 2/8/2022 and I still do not have my order. On February 2,2022 I received an e-mails saying my order has shipped still showing the delivery date of 1/17 - 1/21. Six days since it shipped, I still haven't received my order. I called current and spoke to an AJ who couldn't even tell me an expected delivery date. And to make matters worse, I asked to speak to a supervisor and AJ hung up on me. Also, may I add I am a Blue Ribbon Member who supposedly is to get some special treatment... will that is a farce. I will never, never order from current again. They don't care about their customers and if they hear of a problem apparently they hang up on the customer. Verify this with Current! Tip for consumers:Don't order from them.     I ordered checks online. I started my order for 1 box (100 checks). I then decided I wanted 2 boxes (200 checks), so I changed the quantity accordingly. When my order arrived, I received two packages containing 100 checks, both with the same check numbers. I called customer service to report the error, but they told me I placed two orders for 100 checks each, both with the same starting number. But both boxes were on the same single order, and the only ordering options were 1,2 or 4 boxes. I simply changed from 1 to 2 boxes, assuming all check numbers would then be in sequence from the starting number I entered. The customer service agent insisted I ordered in error and could only offer free shipping on a corrected second box, which I paid full price for.     I have ordered all my checks from them. This last order has been 6 weeks and no checks. I have called twice and they tell me someone will get back with me, they never do. I finally just wanted my money back and they said they would put that thru and someone would get back with me. I have never written a review in my life but now I'm just aggravated!     I had a delightful experience with this company. I ordered Santa notepads and Gnoel round return address labels (item G1249). Shipping was prompt. Packing ensure preservation of the contents. And the quality was excellent. The Santa notepads are very nice (thank you, China). The address labels have vivid colors, clear text, and are properly centered. The address labels are also offered by their sister company, Colorful Images. I had previously ordered from Colorful Images and was quite pleased with their products.     I got a flyer stating shipping $1.99 for orders over $40. I placed an order for approximately $160 (FOUR TIMES THAT). I was supposedly a rewards customer. They charged me $40+ for shipping. I have sent emails & pictures. To date not the courtesy of the call they said I'd get nor a credit for that GROSS shipping charge. In the past I used them alot & was happy. This is NOT my first large order recently. And to make matters worse, the box was packed SO TIGHT, 4 pkgs of cards are all rolled & unmailable as they can't go into the envelopes. Buyer Beware. Tip for consumers:Can't believe what they advertise as shipping costs. And their shiping rates are ASTRONOMICAL if no legitimate offer.     Not having ordered cards from Current Catalog for years, I decided to give them a try. During my online order I had the option of choosing an elegant font for my personalized Christmas cards. I was excited to be extravagant and spend the extra money this year. However, upon receiving the cards, the personalized font was in large plain block font, and the cards are on the thin side, not something your proud to send. I called customer service. She informed me there is no option online to choose a font on Christmas cards. But it allowed me to choose and I created it how I wanted it to look. One of my packages are packed crooked, I'm hoping that didn't tweak the cards. Also, you fold the cards yourself. (?) So it leaves that undesirable overlap. See photos.     The greeting cards, wrapping paper and gift bags are great. Many of their other products are cheap and don't even work. The magnets were adorable but useless as they don't stick to anything. The throw was cute online, but when received, it is very cheap looking and ugly and it had a horrible smell to it. The book marks are very thin and not laminated... won't last long. You have to pay your own return postage to return anything and postage is very expensive these days. I had a coupon for free shipping for this order. Otherwise shipping isn't cheap either. Tip for consumers:I have bought a lot of greeting cards, wrapping paper and gift bags and have been happy with them.     I love Current Catalog! I have been buying from Current Catalog since I was a high school student. My friends and I would order together. It was like Christmas when our order came. Now, I put together baskets of Current goodies and create beautiful gifts for my grandchildren's teachers. I have had nothing but compliments on the unusual items in those gifts.     I wanted generic address labels. Although I found the price being asked a bit high, I was willing to go with that. Then the shipping charges came up - Whew! I can ship 25 lbs across the country for $11 bucks, but these guys wanted almost as much to ship 2 rolls of address labels. Not for Me!     So I went to purchase 2 items. Total about $9.99.(weight of items combines under 2 Lbs) Went to check out and they were charging $7.99 PLUS AN EXTRA S&H (allegedly imposed by their shipping company) of $2.99... TOTAL S&H $10.98...     I need to add to my original review. I received my shipment today (finally!). I am very pleased with the quality of the products, and they arrived just as I had ordered them. Now that I KNOW what I would be in for as far as transit times go, I would order from Current again. Order about 1 month before you actually need the product, and all should be okay.     Holy cow -- can't believe that CurrentCatalog.com has not been reviewed yet. Current has been around for ages and sells cards, wrapping paper, stationary, and miscellaneous items. It's mainly known for the cards and wrapping paper. This is place to go for cards, boxes &/or sets of cards: birthday, anniversary, baby, wedding, graduation, get well, thank you, etc.etc.etc. Good quality and the prices can't be beat. This is the way to stock up on cards and NOT have to go get a $5.99 card at a store! The best wrapping paper around! Good quality, heavy paper and most have a cutting grid on the back! Only thing is I think the shipping costs are over-priced. Always us a coupon! If you get on the mailing list you get a 20% off your order code 5 times a year plus lots of other savings and discounts.     Placed my order on 4 December, seeing it was 5-9 business days to ship. Given the holiday period, I thought they would have plenty help in their warehouse. Called 14 Dec to check status; was told it would ship Monday 16th and that a couple of my items were now out of print. Actually shipped on 19 December and when I got the order, I didn't receive the personalized notecards I'd ordered. Poor Kristen Schwenke, whose cards I ordered, is probably not so happy either.     Update... customer service reps make all the difference... still no labels so I called cust serv again & discovered that Current is ending their shipping contract with DHL because of slow service. The rep checked USPS tracking for my pkg & discovered it's been delivered to my town, probably yesterday, and should be in my mailbox today. The customer service rep makes all the difference. Today's rep was polite, helpful, sympathetic and provided more info than yesterday's rep. It has been 16 days since I ordered labels and I have still not received them! I emailed customer service 4 days ago and never heard from them. Finally had to call. Waited quite a while to talk with a rep who told me that DHL transfers pkgs to USPS in a hub (for me, NJ) and USPS is given 2 days to get it to the customer. When most retailers get packages to customers within days, Current is taking weeks! I have been a long-time customer but I will never shop at Current again. So disappointed.
