We're one of their suppliers, they haven't paid us since last August. We stopped ship for them. According to their website they don't do refund, the customers who have a pending order with us haven't get any money back yet. They are on our collection agency's list. If you want to place a order on their website, make sure if you can get a refund if they can't ship your order. We bought it long before they shuttered their stores. As luck would have it, we lost a dinner plate and they have discontinued the line! We trusted Pier 1 to maintain the pattern because nothing is more frustrating than to lose a complete set of plates, small plates, bowls and cup due to breakage. They called it wood in the description then after a few clicks saw it was fake. I noticed and called to cancel and they sent anyway. We were charged with a $200 fee for them to put it together for us (called white glove service.) It was not optional. And if you want to return it, you don't get that $200 fee back. You just lose it. Immediately ater the workers put the chair together, there were pieces of the chair already unraveling. It hadn't even been sat in! It looks more comfortable than it is. Definitely a comfy chair for kids. Not so much an adult. I wanted something that I could curl up in and read a book or take a nap in. This was not it. Service Value Returns Date of experience: October 6, 2021I drove from the neighboring town to The Greenville SC store. I arrived at 6:55 PM and the store closed at seven. I walked in with my receipt from the store in my town because I needed a couple of more items that this store had but they would not answer their telephone therefore I couldn't call them and ask them to go ahead and place the order and let me purchase and I will pick up on a Saturday. It's about an hour drive for me to this store. So I drove very fast and pouring down rain and made it in just under an hour. Walking in knowing exactly what I wanted the store manager "KIM" was very rude. I said I'm sorry I know it's almost closing time but I know exactly what I need she said and you walk in here at 7 o'clock VERY rudely. There candles smelled so great. I love this store because they have so many really neat things. While I was in the store I thought that they were a little bit expensive. After I bought a few things from them I kept going back over and over for years. I bought rugs, wall accents and an adorable figurine that I still have to this day. She was a little indian girl. This store has great quality items. There merchandise is good quality. I love just going in the store because they have such a wide variety of different things. Things that other store don't have. There's some nice stuff there, but it could be found just about anywhere. This is my first experience with online purchase from them and it was a great experience. I made a big mistake but they handled it like pros. I received several packages one day and assumed they were all from another store. I called Pier 1 and told them I had not received the lamp I ordered. No problem---they sent me another immediately, no questions asked. Amazing. Then I opened the packages I had and discovered one contained the lamp I had ordered from Pier 1. I felt like an idiot but the customer service rep at Pier 1 was fantastic and simply issued me a new label for the second lamp package and UPS picked it up. Not once did the rep question my motive in requesting the second lamp, she accepted my word without a fuss. Her only goal was to make me a satisfied customer---goal achieved plus some.
