Date of experience: January 1, 2025What a slammers!avoid!saying one thing and do other,don't order from them stilling money.i wasn't able to get recieve a box so the agent canceled the delivery but I still recieved it and had to give it away to my neighbour so as it wasn't my fault I was given a credit of £67.we agreed that I wiudo ve able to use it on my next delivery but instead they've charged me for my next box and changed their mind and get me the credit after using another couple of boxes.so as I stopped the delivery, they started to threatening me to send my account to debt collectors

Date of experience: December 20, 2024Several days ago, I logged in and tried various promo codes to find the best deal. But I didnt commit so I was surprise today when I got a HelloFresh box. I tried to log into the account, but was asked to input a zip code to see if HelloFresh delivers in my area. Had I not just logged in a few days ago? So how was my account now closed? I quickly checked my bank account and saw that I was charged for the box. I am not sure how, because I never entered a credit card when I was trying out the promo codes. I was charged on the same credit card I had used years ago to pay for the service.
I called customer service to find out what was going on. How could I be charged if I had not entered a credit card and did not have an active account? The rep kept telling me that I had reactivated the account, had chosen my meals and an add-on. I was very frustrated but said that I was going to sign up anyways, so if she could please retroactively apply the promo code I wanted and get me access to the account. She kept saying she could not. I asked for her supervisor or someone who could help me, but I was given the same answer that no-one with HelloFresh could help me. I just gave up and asked to cancel the account and said that HelloFresh had lost me permanently as a customer.
I asked the rep to put me through to the 'review your experience' survey. She said OK but then promptly hung up on me. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I called back and briefly gave a summary to the new rep and asked for the "review your experience" phone tree as I had been hung up on before. She said OK and then hung up on me. Wow. I am simply amazed at how much the company's customer service has degraded since my experience with them years ago. I am also deeply concerned about the security of my personal info since no-one knew anything.
This is not the same HelloFresh from years ago. Beware if you have any issues becasue you will be given the run around.

Date of experience: November 17, 2024I signed up with very high hopes, and the only reason I did so was because of the kids' free meals offer. I selected my meals right away, and the kids' meals were nowhere to be seen, I contacted customer service by chat, and representatives keep telling me that they were there, when they were clearly not, so they weren't able to help me. I called this morning, and was told a very different story about how the kids' meal were in testing mode, and they weren't yet available! When I told the representative to cancel my membership, he put me on hold to "go check if kids' meals were ready" and by a miracle they were now! I told him to add it to my first box then, because it wasn't my fault they weren't available. He said it was too late to add it, even though it won't ship until 3 days, I asked if I was supposed to starve my kid...no solution was offered, I asked for my membership to be canceled, and money refunded, he said it was too late for that as well.
Not only is this a clear false advertisement, but the worst customer service and lack of empathy I've encountered in a while.
Date of experience: August 9, 2024Signed up May 4,2024, hello fresh picked 2 meals. I was not interested. Emptied the cart, looked at other meals did not find anything I was interested in. Several hours later I noticed 2 unauthorized charges on my debit card to HelloFresh. Cancelled subscription. Customer Service is awful!

Date of experience: May 5, 2024I recently have moved and have been declining hello fresh boxes for months. This week I apparently forgot to skip and when I called customer service they informed me I could not get a refund because it was already being prepared. I informed them I didn't pick any of the meals and it was being shipped to an address I no longer live at and they told me I could change the recipes and the address of the box but not receive a refund. This tells me no box has been shipped yet and you just want to keep my money. I am absurdly frustrated and will never be ordering from hello fresh again. I hope this helps others when making their decisions about subscription boxes!

Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience

They stole $600 from me and all they could do as a refund is $91.50. They will continue to take money from you and refuse to help or do anything about it. I had to cancel my subscription and I'm willing to bet I'll get another charge after I've cancelled.

Date of experience: February 12, 2024I was offered a promotion to try hello fresh at 36$ a week for 3 meals with 2 portions each. What I received was the smallest portions of food imaginable- it honestly reminded me of the easy bake oven recipes from fisher price but meals instead of dessert. I made my first meal- it took far longer than the 25 minute estimated time on the recipe card- and woke up the next with the most violent case of food poisoning. I'm so upset as I don't want to throw away the remaining food but the level of discomfort, illness and anxiety I'm experiencing from the first meal even days later is not worth the risk. Save your stomach, energy and money! Buying a bag of groceries and making a simple recipe that provides some leftovers is so much better than risking any of this nonsense.

I had not used this service since 2019 was thinking about it / they arbitrarily sent an order for $82.99 to my old residents even though I never claimed to order anything. The new occupants called me to say there was a delivery not a good delivery just a delivery - it had since gone bad as I didn't pick up from my old home until 2 days later. The fact that my looking at an account and Hello Fresh automatically shipped goods is bull$#*!!

Sigh* I wish the service was better, because the meals were tasty.

You get charged for boxes that don't arrive. Their GPS system is not current. There is always something wrong with the ingredients including entire missing meals. I give this mob a zero rating.

One week after eating this food, I got a bad GI bug requiring me to get a 7 hour surgery in a hospital. Stay away for real

Then today, I get a message saying my first box will be arriving soon!? My debit card was charged after my account was closed. I had to contact HF customer service, request a refund (5-7 business days), confirm this won't happen again, and now I'm going to wasting food I didn't want in the first place! Total scam!
Date of experience: February 14, 2024They have to have the worst billing explanation I have ever seen, it's very confusing, I was suppose to receive the hero discount, it applied it then they charged the full amount when they billed plus another upgrade charge. Customer service was horrible and just said "that verification comes from another website" and you can only get one discount so another one was applied" which was a higher charge. Don't use the company! The food was good but it was very expensive for what you get!

Date of experience: January 14, 2023Ridiculous customer service. I was charged incorrectly and received a box full of meals I don't even eat (I am vegetarian), and was told that there's nothing they can do because it's already been delivered.
Tip for consumers:Beware, because they ask for your payment info saying that you won' be charged yet, but they do.
I got offered a huge discount, said I would think about it and ended up cancelling in the same day. I made sure my card details weren't saved on the website anymore (it said "You have no active payment methods") and still, days later, I got a box delivered and charged to my card.

Date of experience: March 20, 2023Used a discount code that covered 9 weeks total. Received either wrong or missing ingredients in 7 of the 9 boxes. Most recently I paid an additional £14 for a meal containing duck breast (this put that one meal up to £29 plus shipping). The duck breast was missing, when I spoke to the customer care team I asked to speak to a manager, I was refused. The resolution they offered was to refund £13, this doesn't even cover the cost of the extra fees I paid. Hello fresh expect me to pay £16 for what I could get out of the supermarket for under £5 and I still have to go there to get the meat!
The most inconvenient meal box company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Oh and the portions are tiny - don't let them fleece you for your hard earned food budget

We don't have the space to store all this food that I didn't even order yet. It's just a money thing with these people. Do not get involved with this subscription.
Date of experience: February 29, 2024I signed up for hellofresh a week ago and my first box came with the wrong food. They said I should just wait for another box and they won't charge me for it. But in 2 days I got charged 140$! And they said it happened by mistake and the charge will go for a payment for another box. I was charged 3 times (170$ in total) but didn't get any food! I asked to refund my money back and cancel the subscription but they refused and just sent me 35$… My bank is investigating this situation right now. Dishonest business!

Definitely worth going to another company. They charged my account after I cancelled my order. Beware of these scammers! Hopefully it will be the last time they charge my card

Date of experience: April 11, 2023I didn't realize how incredible Hello fresh was until I tried other meal delivery services. Package arrived nicely with no damage and within two days of delivery. All food was separated into bags with labels - meat was packaged separately. I canceled so I could try other food places. I am glad I did because I realized the quality of food and time they take to package their items. Food was excellent in flavor - It did take longer than expected to cook but that's because it challenged me to do things I hadn't done before. I was not raised cooking homemade - but this is actually a positive because I learned new ways to cook. Great quality of food - just would like it to be a little less expensive.
Tip for consumers:Try Hello Fresh! Compared to the other meal places I tried they are by far the best!!!

Date of experience: March 27, 2023If you're confused at all by the title and allow me to explain. Improper ingredients in bags. Extra ingredients I don't know what they went to. And rotten vegetables. Carrots were fermenting along with green beans and others. Distinct smell of vinegar.
Vegetables are not supposed to smell of vinegar it is indicative of bacteria and rotting. Photos

Recently I have notice the meat quality has been crap.
The diced thighs ( which normally I wouldn't eat) were gross and now for sure I will never eat. The chicken has been loaded with fat
