They always can not find your reservation, can not confirm your identity, will provide a new number for you to call next, and will promise to get back to you in 24-48 hours and never do. Wave goodbye to your $ if you book with them.

Country Inn Suites. Once I realized when I received a receipt not coming from the actual hotel I cancelled it right away. Not realizing they treated it as a non refundable reservation. The reservation came through as cancelled receipt although the payment was just posted as a payment with my credit card. Called their so called customer service they said I cannot get my money back due to their policy. Which is clearly ecommerce FRAUD.
Be aware reported to actual Radisson affiliated location plus FRAUD unit for my credit card.
This company needs to be reported and brought down! After further investigation and research their are thousands of complaints about them on BBB, tripadvisor and other review sites that they acting like you are getting a reservation from the actual hotel reservation online service - they add bogus fees and no ware on the booking info indicates its a non refundable transaction. Please help others by invesigating further -just found out this company was acquired by priceline.com who now is the parent company.plus their is an active

Date of experience: July 18, 2024I booked a hotel to coincide with a jazz festival and my 32nd wedding anniversary. Unfortunate my nephew passed form cancer. The funeral is being held during the time I booked the vacation. The small print on the reservation said NO REFUND. I had no luck with Affirm who paid the amt in full. Finally, when i reached out to geta room, I was treated with compassion and respect and within 24 hours Affirm received a refund and I am no longer on the hook for this. They did what affirm did not do in a week in 24hrs, Affirm even asked me to send in a copy of the obituary! When I called the next day, they said they did not ask for it. GETAROOM solved my problem. After many requests they finally (and pretty quickly) reimburse the extra 36 euro.

I would say comparable to scam.
They attract with a price (in my case 62 euros) and then they add the taxes during the payment phase, in my case 36 euros (I didn't see the full total until I received confirmation from the credit card).
So I paid 98 instead of 62 as declared when booking.
I immediately wrote to customer service to cancel the reservation, but the response was non-refundable.
If the additional taxes were declared somewhere, it was written in tiny, hidden letters. Be wary!

After leaving a review, the customer service representative called me and walk me through why things happen the way they did and also listen to to my concerns, and very promptly came up with a solution. Based off of the customer service she provided I most definitely recommend this company.
Date of experience: August 19, 2020Update: After my post, a representative from Get a Room contacted me, listened to my concerns, and fully refunded all of my money.
My family and I booked a weekend in North Conway, NH and when we went to check in we noticed the reservation actually said Conway, AR. I thought I booked directly with the hotel but apparently it was through this third party service. I called their customer service and explained the situation to them. They denied me a " penalty waiver" and denied my request to at least get a refund for the second night's stay. I have read a few other reviews on this website with the same type of reservation error. I would not recommend doing business with them at all.

Date of experience: March 17, 2018I have used getaroom.com on most of our recent trip to central Europe and have made at least 8 bookings for different cities and was very pleased with the outcome. We did not have any issues at all when we arrived to these hotels. My advised to anyone who will be using this site is make sure that you take a copy of your bookings as the hotel asked for verification. I found that if you ring them (getaroom) and talk to their customer representatives, they can quote you better and cheaper pricing. I generally had a pleasant experienced dealing with them and will likely use it again.

Date of experience: October 31, 2014A few months ago, my friend and I planned a weekend getaway to San Fran and sought last minute deals on hotel rooms. We found a deal for under $100 on Kayak, which in turn redirected us to the getaroom site. After seeing the $25 rebate graphic and other info on unpublished rates, we figured we could get a better deal over the phone -- and that we did.
The call center agent was friendly and answered all our questions. I have no complaints and overall I enjoyed booking through them. It's too bad that others who have reviewed the company before me have experienced otherwise.
Date of experience: June 1, 2011I might have been wise to make the booking with another agency since I believe GetARoom does not allow for cancellation or refund should something occur that would prevent us from travelling to that area at this particular time. Their price was really not much different from some of the competition.

So far the experience has been just fine. It was easy to book I must say. I will update my experience again at a later date. However bad companies normally don't ask for your feedback right away or at all. They're hoping you do not find where to leave a review. Get a room has asked me several times. That shows me they are trying to do a great job.

Because of my experience with vio.com and agoda.com. They're not reputable companies in fact they are one in the same. Those two companies I listed are scams. Get a room doesn't seem to be. They've asked for my feedback several times reputable companies ask for feedback. The bad companies do not. I feel this will be a good experience through the night.

They were amazingly helpful and friendly with my booking on the phone and when I checked into the hotel I was given my choice of floors, not shoved in the corner like some other websites. I will defiantly use them again whenever I travel. Thanks so much they certainly made it easy.
