We stayed at the comfort Inn in Sayre, PA in July 2024. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in during about 300 hotel stays over many years. My wife's back hurt so badly that she spent most of the night in the chair. The next morning, another guest was at the desk with the same complaint about the bed. The desk clerk offered a pad or to put a fold up bed into the room. The clerk said the bed is what corporate Comfort Inns is requiring all their hotels to use. They have a systemic problem being forced on individual properties by corporate management. The people at the property did almost everything else very well, but because of a hard lumpy bed, we had a bad night. I have tried to discuss this with the general manager at the property and comfort inn customer service, no response in four days. The lady at the desk during the evening/night shift was obviously not sober, was running different men that were also staying there,into a room and doing God knows what for hours. I did a check on the her and one of the Over night girls, and all I can say is drugs,stealing,and more. We will never stay in that area again,let alone at that joke of a hotel and it's employees. Dirty nasty room (216), dated bathroom with tile falling off the wall, bug infested (watch out for the bed bugs) rooms need to be fumigated, one day my room was not serviced. A fire broke out in the laundry room around 5:00 AM, no plan for evacuation, the manager is f***** up, this poor excuse for a man, ran the hell out of the building before his guest got to safety. No refund, guests were not compensated for the early morning fire, smoke filled rooms or the bed bug issue. Management uncooperative, this place sucks, I would stay at a local dog shelter before booking a room at the Comfort Inn Lexington Southeast. The county health department should shut this $#*! Hole Hotel down 'ASAP' before someone gets eaten alive by bed bugs. Service Value Quality Date of experience: September 26, 2023I canceled a reservation 5 days in advance. I was charged anyway. (The policy was 24-hours notice.) When I called about the charge, the desk clerk refused to discuss the problem or how to get my credit card refunded. DO NOT TRUST these people. We had a hole in the wall, missing furniture, caulking and paint all over the floor. It was uncomfortable and smelled bad. Staff did not care at all. But upon arriving. The family members were slit up and divided into two different locations of the hotel. On our end and upon arriving, the hotel attempted to charge us an extra $100.00 over what we reserved the room for claiming that this fee was to to be used as insurance that we wouldn't destroy the room. Mind you my wife and I are senors and I doubt we would destroy anything. The fee was later waved and we made our way tot he room. The room seem very comfortable. We changed our cloths and headed to the pool, where we discovered that the pool had a green tint about it. Informing the hotel host about his. They simply said "We turn on the lights, throw some stuff in the pool and leave" end quote. You might think we're off to a great start. But you should have heard what happen to my wife's sister, who daughter was the one getting married. My wife's sister, checked in and found out that they double charged her card. Later that night they refunded the money back onto her account then locked her out of the room. On top of this. Several bed bugs were found in her room on the same day they checked in. Clearly my sister in law was not having a good day. In my Opinion and based on this hotels location (near a truck stop/travel center) it's gotten a bad reputation as a quickie type hotel and we were expecting more but didn't get it. When asking my wife about what she thought of the comfort inn & suites North East, Maryland. She simply said "Never More" This has been one bad experience and we'll prob never stay in any comfort inns ever again.
