    We opened shop at the end of October 2023.we sold over $******* in a week. But they suddenly closed our account by no reason.And they said they hold 90days.then they will pay back to me.But of course never happen. Than I found this page. So let's start class-action (lawsuit)by same situation case.This is just scam.They have to go to jail.
    Ordered the wrong hardware from square, they refused to cancel the order even though it hasnt shipped yet. Apparently thats their policy. No order cancellations... extremely shady busy and garbage customer service.     I have been in business for over 20 years. Usually my clients pay in cash ACH or check. I started doing business with a new client that wanted to pay by credit card. Signed up with Square, the absolute worse decision I have made in business. They took the payments from my customer and then told me that I'm not approved as a merchant. They are holding my payment for 90 days and not refunding me the cost of joining and paying for additional services. Customer service hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager.     Square is a the worst company. Greedy, terrible customer service. Not only they have the highest fees structure, they are greedy mf that will take their fees even on fraudulent transactions.     I am a current customer of square and they make it very very difficult to receive your deposits I signed up for square to make my business grow not have to wait 2 weeks for one payment you have to answer tons and tons of questions about each one of your customers then they tell you on the phone that you only have to do it one time I've had to do it four times for One customer and I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks for a payment I can't ship my customers items I have bills to pay and can't pay them and now they're telling me I have to wait another 3 days the only reason why they make people wait so long I feel is so they can collect the interest to make more money for them why they cost all their customers money for everything else that they need they are a horrible company and their app is very hard to understand you can't get to payouts even though you have to have two apps for everything that you use and then when you have to have confirmation codes they send you the confirmation codes 20 minutes later I do not recommend them to any new business owner or older owner who would like to have processing Tip for consumers:Square makes it very difficult for new customers they delay all of your payments with all of their review questions when they tell you that they're not going to answer ask any more questions about an existing customer they continue to do so I have had to answer tons and tons and tons of questions with documents of one of my customers four times now and they've had been holding my money for over a week and it's every time every payment thus far I guess they like collecting all that interest from Products used:Processing and invoices

    This company likes to hold your funds. It has happened too many times. I do not understand why they keep holding funds for already established customers. It is no reason for this. I am starting not to trust them. I haven't even paid off my square machine that I purchased yet. But they keep holding my funds. I wish I knew this up front.
    Although I had eight good years of using Square this past month, a Friday, and a Saturday of retail sales in December before Christmas, most of my debits disappeared. Between 1 o'clock and 5 o'clock on a Friday and on a Saturday in December all my transactions went through the processing system perfectly and never came to my account nor appeared on my dashboard after over 20 hours of trying to get a hold of a supervisor I would only be coming connected to lower level people that would either hang up or transfer my call and they would hang up and I could never get a solution. I lost over $350 in sales. The people on the helpdesk told me I had to take peoples phone numbers and credit card numbers so that they could get back to them and be sure their bank took out the money before they could ever help me. Use another credit card system processor if you want your money. Tip for consumers:If they did not have such an irritating customer service support system in place it may be a good system. Something technical happened and I could not get anybody to connect me with anybody that could help. I think that either somebody was crooked and they take money once in a while from a business or there were some technical error that nobody would even bother trying to clear up.     A deposit error happened to the wrong bank account and the customer service just hung up on me when i tried to get help called back to speak to a supervisor they would not transfer me then i started swearing after asking 5 times to pass me to the supervisor then he told me he would hang up if i continued swearing i told him i asked 5 times without swearing and you still did not do it so i accentuated my swearing 100% then he threatened to block my number thtas what those fkn idiots do when your money is lost.     Call, and they have no idea how to help, you just get passed from department to department. I just had a representative put me old hold and he came back and said "I can look into this now, sorry I just needed a few minutes!" Chat is even worse, bizarrely people just drop off the chats every few minutes and then a new person picks up.     I use them for my personal training business once in a while. The cost is higher than my other merchant account but it's convenient when on the go. It would be nice if they looked more like a company than just a web site.
    I changed my merchant bank account several months ago and have not been able to get the new account registered with Square. You cannot speak to a customer service representative by phone, they text you and expect you to sit for hours texting with them. When I requested speaking with someone in person the texts get really snarky and they absolutely refuse to let you speak with someone. Their automated phone system has NO option to speak by phone.     They were a pretty good company at start cheap and easy customer support was never any good and it's still just as bad. Getting someone to help you is like pulling teeth with a shoe string. So the portal wouldn't let me delete my account go figure we know what that's about. Intuit QuickBooks did the same thing. Not to mention AT&t they all try to hang on to you.     This company refused to release $30,000 in payments, they closed our account twice and I would never even recommend them to my worst enemy - they are unreliable, no customer service, wont even pick up your calls once they have deactivated you, and they deactivate you WHILE THEY HOLD YOUR FUNDS HOSTAGE - they sent us an email saying 90 days they MAY release them.     I have used Square without incident for over 8 years. Last 30 days has been a nightmare. Everything I have read on these reviews I have experienced. Verified funds withheld without valid reason or availability to discuss with reps. We have been ignored or plain ol lied to concerning "Held Funds" We sold a service using Afterpay, and the next day Square took the Afterpay funds out of my account claiming they were protecting me. 2 days later, the transaction from Square TAKING MY MONEY, was still showing and a Rep claimed that it was credited back to me and "I spent it". There is no evidence of a credit in the amount that they debited. And no one at square gives a $#*! about explaining where the money is or why there are NO TRANSACTIONS TO SHOW THE MONEY WAS RETURNED OR SPENT.     I know that's too much to ask. I can't tell how many times a simple phone call for support turned into a headache of repetitive times saying one's email name phone and so on. Not even getting to the problem or less likely getting an solution. Ridiculous Square.     I can't believe that Square support is so terrible. My integration with Doordash has been down for 3 weeks now and I can't get a Square engineer to take a seriously look at it. They say they only communicate via email, but they only answer 1 email per day and it's always some nonsense to try and blame Doordash. Doordash is ready to talk to them, but they won't communicate with Dorodash at all. So frustrating. Service Value Quality
    They took my money and never gave it to me. We opened an account and made two charges from our client. The funds were not available until we submitted a bunch of paperwork and answered a bunch of questions. We did that twice over the course of 8 days. Long story short, they took my clients money, $30,000, and then deactivated our account. Here is the kicker. They hold the money for 90 days and they won't give you access to it. I called and they would not let me speak to a supervisor. "Supervisors don't speak with deactived account holders". What a crock of $#*!!     After going through a great deal of effort to set up my business to work with Square Up for appointments and aligning my calendar to sync up so that my clients would see appropriate days blocked off, I became comfortable and enjoyed knowing that my booking setup was in place for those wanting to schedule my services. However, Square disabled my appointment system without telling me and I only learned it by chance when showing someone how to use the website. When I signed into my account, I was presented with new Terms to which I would need to agree. Following that, my appointments site began working again. Next, a new client booked a gig and I noticed that a credit card wasn't placed on file. Apparently, the "No Show Protection" is no longer being offered in the free tier and users are being forced to upgrade to the next tier for $29 per month in order to keep this feature, a bait and switch method (if this was the original intent all along). In any case, the company knows how much trouble it would be for a busy company to switch things over, so we have no other option except to upgrade. They will get my money, but I'm telling everyone else to stay away! Value Quality
    I've never left an online review in my 25 years of life- but today I am going to every review website to try and warn people to not use square. They will deactivate your account, suddenly, permanently, and without cause. They will also hold your money indefinitely, and generally make you hate your life - if not actually ruin your business. They are a garbage company that have caused stress and harm to many people's businesses by doing very shady things, and getting away with it. I do digital marketing services, I tried to accept one single payment, and square closed my account. In the 3 weeks since of dealing with them, I am honestly just defeated. I don't even want to explain my whole situation once again because there are tons of reviews and cases that show what kinds of things that square will do. I just want to express my disgust, irritation, and everything in between with this bs company. All they have provided me are issues, stress, and more problems. Absolutely f*ck square.     Square has been holding a transaction of 90 +. 10= 100$ of mine for almost a week now. It's unbelievable in 2023, if you want to cancel a transaction with this company you can't without unnecessary paper work being uploaded. They're holding my money like it's theirs.     The invoices are fantastic and the amount of services they provide for the small fee of merchant processing is outstanding. Square has helped me track my expenses such as new equipment and makes it all very easy to understand. I have become much more organized now that most finances are in one place. The addition of Afterpay allows customers to make payments on the services they want and makes it easy to get paid. Great experience!
