I will never use Travelocity again.,,It said you can cancel or change your flight with 24 hours.and you call to make changes sorry we cannot help you. U have to contact the airline directly... I should have booked the flight with the airline directly... Date of experience: December 14, 2024
Travelocity failed to tell me that the local rental agency did not accept debit cards so my rental was canceled and they refused to give me a refund. ( The term Debit and Credit cards is used interchangeably in our society) Travelocity stole my money. They ripped me off. Multi-billion dollar company taking money from the poor to line there pockets. I will never use them again and I will tell everyone I know every time I get a chance. Date of experience: July 12, 2024
In April 2023, I made a reservation through Travelocity, which entitled me to have a cancellation till the day of pick up, well due to the insurance I was forced to cancel my rental so they issued me a cancellation number, yet they don't return my money. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Travelocity. These people are not trustworthy. I will never in my life, recommend or trust these people, or use them in the future. Products used:Policy allows me to have a cancellation up until the day of pick up ! Despite the fact they issued me a Cancellation number they are not returning my money !!! S# 147154722 I don’t recommend Travelocity ! Stay away from dishonest Company like Travelocity! Thank you Benjamin C Service Date of experience: August 7, 2023
Not worth my time explaining how they rip off people. Anywhere but here! Why pay these con artists to find a car rental that anyone can do, cancel and get your money back if required. Oh except for Travelocity, they will keep your money! Tip for consumers:Avoid at all costs Products used:Car Rental travelocity Service Value Returns Quality Date of experience: January 30, 2024
We rented a car through Travelocity and Europcar. We we got to the counter the man said we need an international drivers license. We did not have one. He said to call Travelocity for the refund. We did not have internet at the time. So we walked across the room and rented from another agency. No problem. We got internet and looked at our agreement. It said that an international drivers license is needed if you have a " non-roman alphabet license". We both had US licenses in roman alphabet. I had to contact Travelocity several times but they sided with the car company. This is a scam they are in on it helping the car company rip off people. DO NOT RENT FROM EUROPCAR! Products used:We walked across the hall and rented another car. So we paid twice. Service Value Date of experience: October 1, 2023
Booked our anniversary through them. They booked us with Spirit airlines. Spirit stopped flying into Denver on Jan. 9,2024. Our trip was booked to leave on Feb. 23,2024. Travelocity failed to notify us this in the month they had to do so. The way we found out is when we went in to book our seats. Even though the flight booking was done through Travelocity, they tried to say it was Spirits responsibility - IE passed the buck. Long story short we are stuck with over $400 in cancellation fees with the hotel due to no fault of our own and Travelocity was more worried about cya than helping us. Book through them at your own risk! Tip for consumers:I will never use them again. Products used:None as our trip was ruined without the flight. Date of experience: February 22, 2024
I booked a trip with Travelocity. I got to the hotel at midnight and they said they did not have the two queen beds I pre-paid for available, but they would put me in a king room. I needed two beds. They brought me a rollaway bed, but charged me for it. I didn't ask for that, but there was nowhere else to go. Travelocity sold me a room that was NOT AVAILABLE. Then, when I asked their customer service to refund me my money that I had to pay, they refused. They acted like it was my problem. I hate them and I will never ever use that site again. I hope you don't either. It feels horrible to get two thousand miles away from home with other people and not have what you paid for provided. Date of experience: August 18, 2023
They give you a price for a daily rent. Then when you get to the pick up then the price get inflated by way more than Travelocity told you. They clean their hands saying that those are extra fees by the rental company that they don't control. Dirty business. Also the rental didn't accept the insurance Travelocity sold me so I'm fighting a refund while in my vacations. So why even Travelocity is in the middle if everything they sold you is not what you really have to pay to the rental company? See my receipt, $221.59 in extra charges. Travelocity sold me a rental for $13.70 weekly Products used:Car rental Service Value Shipping Returns Quality Date of experience: September 12, 2023
I had to make duplicate flights as mainland flight changed and connection wouldnt work. Duplicate flights on the same day are required by law and policy to allow for a refund. Agent at travelocity told me that I could only get a credit. He Forced the credit! Thats it! No option!. Then after i found out about the duplicate flight law, they refused to refund me because they had already cancelled the flight, and they told me no option but to do that! Rip off! Fraud! You will never get your money back! Buyer BEWARE! Products used:Duplicate flights on same day are required by law for full refund. Service Value Returns Quality Date of experience: September 14, 2023
They tell you they cant do a name change til 72 hrs before the flight without checking out circumstances then when you call for the name change in the 3 day period they tell you too they say the airlines wont allow it. Well if you check with the airline first i would have had time to cancel the flight and rebuy the tickets without the last minute nightmare that will be customs due to travelocitys terrible customer service. Not to mention the huge language barrier when trying to explain this to customer service agents that barely speak english. Service Value Returns Quality Date of experience: July 6, 2023
I made a reservation with the Universal Hilton, CA for 3 nights $1500 and paid up front non-refundable. I showed up late for check in and the hotel told me they had marked me as a no show and only charged for 1 day and rented my room to someone else, and had no more rooms for rent. When I called Travelocity to get a refund for the other 2 days they refused to give it to me. Where else can someone take your money and not provide a service? Pure theft. They stole $1500 and didn't even rent me a room. This company is terrible and their parent company Expedia is just as corrupt. The hotel didn't get paid for 3 days they were paid for 1. Travelocity just stole the other 2 days. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They will rip you off. This is not the first time they have been unethical. Also the Hilton Universal manager was rude and callous. Service Value Returns Quality Date of experience: September 8, 2023
I needed a flight and car rental. I went through Travelocity. When I got to car rental I discovered my license was either lost or stolen. Luckily had had a photo of it on my phone. However, the rental company Mexc would not accept it. They had no solution. I was stuck about 100 miles from my destination. Could not get my rental car. Needed to take shuttle bus, train, uber, and call a friend to finally get to destination. Refused refund from Travelocity. They blamed it on rental car policy. I made reservations with Travelocity. Thinking they would not use or recommend a company they did not support. 1 weeks car rental charged for car I was unable to pick up! Service Value Date of experience: February 5, 2024
I rent a car with them from MEC a poor rental rippoff companie at Miami. It's says Unlimited mileage. When i arrived there to pick the car, the rude clerk says its is 50 miles free per day and after $1. Per miles! Also he didnt want to take my own car insurance, State Farm, they want me to pay an extra of $32/day. Travelocity didnt want to refund me, i did book the car for 28 days, didnt even use 1! MEC are thief and Travelocity are wrong to not protect consumer agains those rippoff. Date of experience: October 7, 2023
Not worth using Travelocity. Once I finalized my trip and hit the Submit button, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a green pop-up message informing me "Good news the price of your trip has decreased from $ to lower $. Book now to secure this price". I immediately took a picture of the pop-up message to show my friends and hit the Submit button again to secure the lower price. Travelocity did not stand behind their statement. Even when I emailed the manager the picture with the green pop-up message, he stated because I didn't have the entire picture, there is nothing that can be done. I wouldn't think I would have to take a picture of the entire screen to prove their pop-up message? It is obvious that by looking at the URL, I am in the Checkout step. I thought they were a reputable company ~ Never using them again! Tip for consumers:Speaking with both the Rep and Manager, it was obvious they were not going to honor the decrease that they were promoting. Service Value Date of experience: November 2, 2023
Booked flight with paid assigned seats. Airline charged 161 for seats. Someone from Travelocitty canceled our seats NOT MYSELF. Since it non refundable tickets airline charged for canceled seats. After hours on phone with customer service nothing was resolved. Numerous different answers of how this happened. Had to go to airline web sight and reorder our seats at cost again. Airline says not their problem 3rd party vendor and travelocity seems they won't do anything to fix. Have a dispute claim with credit card company for seat charge. So I now get to spend more hours trying to get their mistake fixed. Like dealing with 3rd graders at best. Date of experience: February 22, 2024
I am a visitor from Chicago, brought guest here - party of four. Service was horrendous. We waited 3 hrs.' before receiving our meal. So we took it to go. Supposedly manager/owner apologized/ he showed no remorse and walked away. I will never visit this place again. Our bill was 185.00. The waiter was unapologetically remorseful concerning our situation. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Because we were short one chair. I don't understand how any one can treat tourist so horrible. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. The one star is for the drinks and appetizers. La Hacienda you suck. Never had experience with a company with so many "technical errors". Everything from online booking issues, customer service repeatedly telling me to call back because they can't help because their system is down, triple charging my credit card, and the slowest customer service reps were just a few reasons I won't use ever again! Date of experience: January 18, 2016
I bought trip insurance, they charged fees to change flight and won't change or refund my room charges. Been on the phone twice over an hour with customer service which hasn't gotten me anywhere... really not happy, will never use them again! Date of experience: March 2, 2016
I hate this site. Wasted many hours trying to find good deals here only to be shown so called sales that were garbage. Just tried getting a hotel in L. A, they said they were giving me a 20% discount, googled the hotel they were showing me already and the direct price was exactly $1.50 more for the same room... I don't know how Travelocity thinks less than 2 bucks is a 20% sale on a $90 hotel, but I call B. S. there. Refuse to return! Date of experience: February 12, 2016
I had the same experience and found travelocity not only to be inept and dealing with making a change which took over an hour because there was a trainee dealing with me, but i paid for travel insurance and then they deducted 135.00 dollars from my airline credit. BIG Scam travelocity! Shame on you. Date of experience: January 3, 2017
Disgusting, the most disgraceful customer service I've ever had the displeasure of being on the receiving end of. These people charged my credit card over $100 more than the stated amount and would not answer my questions about this. They put me on customer service hold for hours at a time even though I specifically asked to speak to a manager. They lied to me and my bank and refused to even release the hold they kept on my credit after repeatedly telling me they released my funds. I had not spent a Christmas with my family in 9 years but due to their lies, and fraud it will now be 10 years. Dishonest, horrendous service, and no escalation process available. I'll never give them a penny again. Stay far away from TRAVELOCITY! Date of experience: December 21, 2013
I stayed at the Super 8 in Fremont, Ne first time traveling using Travelocity everything worked without a hitch, walked in to check in staff was very friendly and made me feel very welcome, it's nice that see people enjoy there job like that. They had my room ready to go showed me where the continental breakfast would be in the morning and they had my favorite biscuits and gravy. Room was right temperature setting very clean it didn't look so much like place to sleep it felt more like a home away from home all definitely be using them in future. Purchased extra coverage for vehicle rental that we ended not using due to changing name on rental to my wife and having to add extra insurance coverage in her name. Which I understood being as that these were non transferable. Fine. Travelocity would not refund original cost of unused coverage and their call centers don't speak very good English and did not understand the situation so they put me on hold for an hour in hopes I would just hang up. Of course I did, it was obvious what they were doing. First and last time I or my family uses travelocity. Date of experience: January 23, 2018
Booked round trip flights and then it charges my card three times for the same flight and then in addition told me the cost had gone up another $500 and asked me to book a new flight! Customer service gives no explanation and simply stated I will have the finds returning to me within 7-10 business days! This place should be shut down! I can't stand the games this site plays with you. Pretty much all flights are non-refundable, and they charge you $200-$300 to make itinerary changes. However, is this the airlines policy? Generally not. I called Virgin and they said it would be no charge to change flights. Travelocity said that Virgin charges $300 to change flights. Who do you believe? Some call center agent making $9/hour, or the actual airline representative. Hotels.com/Travelocity/Sabre are all the same Persian guy who's been ripping off travelers for two decades now. For shame; for shame. Their hotel prices are the same as booking directly, and there are no rewards for using this site. Booking a trip for two, to wherever, maybe once a year for fixed dates? Fine. Any more than that a forget it. Date of experience: March 16, 2016
