Kmart used to be my go-to store but recently their service has been terrible. I ordered an air fryer online and it took forever to ship. When it finally arrived, it was damaged. I'm not sure I'll be shopping here again soon.
Date of experience: November 12, 2024The staffs are very rude there. I went shopping for a specific product yesterday and asked the staff where it is. It was simply a question "Are you a staff member of Kmart?" and they didn't even bother to answer vocally and just pointed at the logo on their shirt. I'm offended, as if they are saying Are you blind? Can't you see the logo on my shirt or something? As well as the second staff, not friendly at all. No smiling, just frowning. When I politely asked them if they sell any bags here, they just replied "No" rudely and walked away. Do you call this service? I'd give it a zero
Tip for consumers:They have very poor service at Riccarton Kmart, Christchurch, New Zealand, would not recommend.

Date of experience: September 23, 2022I tried to order a diaper bag and after calling the verification number my order was cancelled because I could not verify what county I live in in a different state when I was 8 years old completely ridiculous. If I verify my card that's all that should matter. I was also on hold for 20 mins just to be told there was nothing I could do other then reorder it. Never using Kmart again.
Date of experience: August 10, 2019My friend and I were testing out skateboards that we were about to buy. Lady that works here yelled at us so we didn't buy them. Not coming here for my things. My friend also had bought one from here, she will now be returning it as soon as possible. I loved Kmart but now this upset me and put me in a very bad mood. Bad service today.
Date of experience: July 8, 2020Besides the prices being ridiculous compared to other store prices of exact merch... For Christmas we received and bought gift cards which come to find out you can not use to purchase game console cards or other cards to that effect. Which is just absolutely ridiculous. They will except returns with no receipt. Do exchange with what could be stolen items in the first place. Everywhere excepts credit cards where payments can be disputed. Why on earth can I not pay 20 in cash on a gift card and not be able to purchase and xbox game pass? I don't understand please explain

Date of experience: February 10, 2021I ordered a pair of boots for my son for Christmas, I got the confirmation email and they charged me for them, the next day I get an email saying they're not in stock and my order cancelled, but will take 5-7 days to get my money back... a company should never charge a customer for an order until the item is verified atleast, better yet until it ships. I wont be doing business with them again, because its gonna be way closer to christmas before my money comes and I'll have to hurry to find him something else.

Date of experience: May 29, 2022Kmart is straight up my favourite place to shop at. They have almost everything - clothes, shoes, homeware, kitchen appliances, toys, etc. Their pricing is great too, most things are under $20. I generally find that their products also have great quality - if not, returns are free if the product is faulty. All you have to do is take it in-store with proof of purchase! Everything in Kmart is sooooo aesthetic, and I always end up buying more things that I orginially intended to :)

Can't reach anyone to help. So as this point DNT want exchange just want my money back. I recommend people do their Christmas shopping somewhere else

Date of experience: May 28, 2019Good value, big selection. I think that pretty well sums up Kmart.com. In particular, I'd like to point out KMart's furniture. It's not fancy, but some of it's not bad and if you spend over $100 often items will ship for free.

Date of experience: May 19, 2015So many stores have closed. Kmart carries 100% cotton clothing at exceptionally reasonable prices. Since I cannot find a store near me, shopping online has been a godsend. Once you have purchased any of their own line, you can count on the sizing to be universal. With people today seeing cotton, this is the place.
Date of experience: January 28, 2016Kmart in Indianapolis Washington street needs to be closed. There is never more than one line open yet tons of employees standing around. Then they advertise a sale item and when it doesn't ring up right they claim it's not the right item even when you pull the tag from the shelf to show them. Lazy lazy lazy. No wonder all their stores are being shut down.

Date of experience: January 30, 2017I have walked out before while waiting to checkout when lines moved unbearably slowly due to language challenges, pricing issues, crowds etc. Usually sufficient parking but that does not justify the crowds and very slow checkout service.
Date of experience: January 17, 2016Twice now I have emailed Kmart on not having and trolleys in there Stafford Brisbane store at opening time they tell me the Trolley people dont start until 2 hours after opening time that is just not good enough Having a disability i need a trolley i spoke to other customers who were also looking for them too I man had 2 small kids and was saying he needed a trolley so he could also hold onto 1 of his children I cant understand how a staff member cant make sure there are some trolleys there on opening

Date of experience: April 9, 2022I do not like the changes that Sears made after buying KMart. It is still though an average store, just not one I shop at much anymore since they have practically eliminated the big and tall department even though the nation is both taller and fatter than it ever was before. It seems like a counterintuitive strategy frankly and they have done in our metro area a poor job of keeping up the electric wheelchairs as well.

Bought a sand-which maker practically years ago and still works now. Most their clothes were a cheap fabric, but were fairly paired with cheap prices- most unlike many other stores (Target & Macy's clothes aged just as quickly, but were double and triple the price).
Date of experience: December 19, 2016Tried to buy a belt no one else has there inventory say 3 on hand another store says 5 on hand, i traveled far to both of these stores to find they both have 0 on hand i dont know who runs loss prevention but now i see why this company fails soo dearly. Plus kmart.com says they have it but yet cannot produce nor send the right belt. Kmart sucks!
Date of experience: August 29, 2016Kmart has been in decline for years. Their stores are dirty and run-down, and they never have any good electronics. Everything seems generic and none of the employees seem happy or helpful. The isles are usually disorganized or missing large sections of merchandise. I rarely go to these stores anymore.

Returned items 3 times and will never shop there again. By the way... all their merchandise has a sears address. Awful.
Date of experience: December 17, 2015I remember when they used to have reasonable prices. Now it's a wannabe Walmart with high prices. I have one near where I live and I hate even walking in there. The employees are rude, ignorant and make you stand in line a long time while they're B.S.ing with each other. One cashier sent me to another register to cash out only there was nobody there to wait on me. I waited a few minutes then walked out.
Date of experience: December 21, 2016I recently ordered a TV off of Kmart.com. I was very pleased at how low the price was, until my order disappeared. When I contacted them, they informed me that it was a pricing error. Ok that's fine, mistakes happen. But when I asked for a refund they said they were going to hold onto my money for a whole week. I do not see how that is an acceptable business policy. Nor do i see how it is logical, reasonable or morally acceptable. They refused to do anything in the way of recompense. I will never shop at a Kmart, Sears or any affiliated business again in my life.
