The customer service is farmed out to a call center whose employees have no authorization to resolve an issue, they are not authorized to transfer your call to someone who can. Items never ship. No resolution. Empty promises are made repeatedly with delivery dates until you just give up. Conflicting information presented in emails about delivery policies. Take your money, give you a confirmation email that states the USPS is awaiting item and that's where it ends. I think this is mail fraud. Buyer beware Tip for consumers:Do not use this company Products used:Shirt Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
I bought some shirts on radioshack.com for my husband as a Christmas present (right before Thanksgiving), he loved Radio Shack. I got a confirmation email of my purchase. After waiting until Christmas to receive the order, it had still not arrived. Two days later, I attempted to contact them via their website (submitted a request inquiring about the order). I got an email confirmation, confirming their receipt of my request, stating they would get back to me asap. I waited 10 days, still no response, so I submitted another. FYI, there is a customer support number, but you can't talk to an actual person, it advises you to go to the website and submit a request. I waited another few days with no response. At this point, it was mid-January. I contacted my bank to have the charge removed, explaining the situation and was informed that I had 60 days from the date to dispute the charge, which had passed. Great. Tip for consumers:Do not order from Radioshack.com, it's a scam. Products used:None. They took my money and didn't ship the product. Then, did not respond afterwards, after multiple contacts. Radio Shack has been trusted for generations by us for their excellent, unique items at a great price. They have lightning fast shipping which is refreshing this day and age. Products used:Electronics components, soldering iron Value Shipping Quality
Pretty trash products, i bought a headphones and it only lasted 5 hours until it stopped charging and broke, its absolutely disgusting how a company can sell such horrible products. I don't recommend buying their products. Tip for consumers:Do not buy it unless you like cheap products Products used:Headphones Service Value Quality
Terrible policies for this store. Tried to purchase speakers online; and then decided to cancel the order less than an hour afterwards; only to get a response by customer service; that they do not do cancellations and instead I need to make a return. Here is the kicker, they do not cover return fees and also, the return is only store credit. THEY DO NOT REFUND CREDIT BACK TO YOUR CARD! The customer service representative was telling me the return would only give me back store credit. Will not ever order from this store online again. Not worth the hassle and trouble. Tip for consumers:Be wary that online refunds are only store credit and not refund back to your card. Products used:Edifier R1280s speakers
They found a lot of solution for are problems and got it fixed in a different way we did not think of
I will only buy from their web site as the NYC employees are thieves who add replacement plans to your order without asking you if you want it.
I ordered $135 worth of products from them but nothing ever showed up and Radio Shack has so far failed to respond to 45 emails enquiring into the problem. I contacted my bank and they are now pursuing the matter. Tip for consumers:Shop elsewhere Products used:I ordered a large display clock but it was never delivered nor will Radio Shack respond to enquiries. I've reported them to my bank but so far I haven't heard back. Service Shipping
I bought a lap desk and it was absolute junk. I called immediately and asked to start a returns process. They state there are no returns. Nowhere on the product info did it state that. They gave me store credit that will never use on their misleading items. A month later, I received an email from them stating that they noticed I was sent the wrong desk and they would be sending me the correct item at no charge and that there was no need to return my other item. The desk never came, so I emailed and got an absolute runaround from multiple people not giving me am answer. I called customer service and they said to send screenshots of this "so called email". I did. Instead of calling me back, I get another email stating that they only sent that email to people who hadn't received a desk. Complete lie. I have the email stating the exact opposite. I'm convinced this company is a scam. Don't buy! Tip for consumers:No returns on junk products. Very poor customer service. Products used:Lap desk Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
I ordered a pair of replacement earphone covers for the headphones they sell. They sent the wrong size. I already paid 4.99 for shipping and they require I pay for the return shipping too. So for an item I've already paid 16.37 for I would get back 5.00. Never again will they get my business. Tip for consumers:That you pay return shipping if THEY send you the wrong item. Products used:None. They sent the wrong one. Service Value Shipping Returns
Okay, I'm updating my review on 7/2. They finally shipped my radio 2 1/2 weeks late. I don't have it in my hands yet, but at least FedEx shows that they have it in their hands. So I'll take back my complaint that you pay immediately and get nothing. However, they still should not charge your credit card until they actually fill and ship the order. I shop online with all kinds of sellers, and almost none charge your card until they ship. They just pre-authorize the charge at order time, then complete the charge at shipment. But I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 3 stars because they did finally ship today what I paid for 3 full weeks ago. But they should not say something is in stock and give you an expected date to receive it when it is not really in stock and is backordered (3 weeks in this case). Not only that, but they do not provide any order status after acknowledging the order, until they ship. So you don't know it's back ordered or what is going on. And customer service tells you nothing about the actual status. At least I am relieved that I did not have to file a complaint with my credit card company to try to retrieve my money. The following is the original review of 6/28: I ordered an AM-FM-Shortwave radio. The web page said expect delivery in 7 to 8 days and that the item was in stock. Eight days passed and it hadn't even been shipped, let alone delivered. I contacted Customer Service. They "apologized" and "escalated" the order. Now 17 days after ordering, still nothing shipped, yet the last communication with them said I should have it in my hands by now. It was a lie. They acknowledged the order. They charged my credit card on day one and took my money. But still no sign of getting my radio. Many other retailers (honest ones) get authorized but don't actually charge your credit card until the item ships. Or else they ship the item right away or let you know what's going on. Radioshack.com does neither. You get no real delivery information. You just get strung along with lies. I checked their web site again for this radio on this 17th day after ordering. It still says the radio is in stock. It still promises delivery within 7 or 8 days. Obviously, the web site is a scam to take your money and you get nothing but the shaft. Total rip-off. NEVER AGAIN Radio-crap. Fool me once, shame on you! You won't fool me twice. Have fun going Chapter 11 (again) you scumbags! Tip for consumers:Be wary. Products used:Only ordered one product. It has not arrived yet, so I don't know if it's any good yet or not. Service
I was saddened when RadioShack filed for bankruptcy and closed most of its stores. Fortunately, they have survived their bankruptcy. They are now owned by the same company that includes stores like Pier1, dressbarn, Stein Mart, and Modell's sporting goods. I've seen dozens of new items added to their product line at radioshack, com and the company plans to open retail stores in key markets. Unfortunately, one thing that did change is the return and exchange policy. Their previous policy was well defined and generous, but now they just make reference to their "30 day refund policy", anything beyond that is left to the discretion of their customer service department. Warranties are handled by the manufacturer of the particular item. If the item is a RadioShack branded item, it is again left to the discretion of RadioShack customer service with no clear warranty stated beyond the 30 day refund policy. So far, this has not been a problem, it's just a little vague. Other than that, it's good to see this 100 year-old brand still in business, with new cool products. I'll update this posting of any noteworthy items should they occur. Tip for consumers:Be cognizant of the 30 day return policy. Products used:Solder Iron, Parts and Kits, Batteries. Awful service. I will not recommend it to anyone to use. I received a a damaged camera and couldn't exchange it due to the store policy.
April 30th, 10:00 am I called the Radio Shack store in Inverness Fl about a iPhone repair, The Mgr said all Repairs were done at the Hernando Store, I drive the 35 minutes only to find the Store closed, So I call back The Inverness Store, told Mgr about it being closed, He said,, Bring it here and Drop it off, I drive back to Inverness, as I walk in The Mgr asks If I have a Mask, I said No, and he Points towards the door, I assumed he was letting me know masks were hanging by the door, so I look, I don't see any, I turn and ask if he has any For Customers? No he said, his Next words were,, GET OUT! I was completely Shocked, It was not what I expected, and Totally uncalled For. We are at least 15 ft apart, So I ask if I can Place the Phone on the other counter with the info, and Leave,,, again his reply,, NO GET OUT! As I'm leaving, a Lady walks in, without a Mask, so I let her know she needs one,( I didn't want her to get yelled at,) she said she had one in her car, So I go and Find a Towel, I place it over my Mouth and walk back in, I asked if this was ok, (Still about 20 ft from him) His reply,, NO. GET OUT! I was still taken back,, He then says, Go back to Hernando Store, someone's There, I said No, I'm not driving all the way back since you told Me To come here, Again he says GET OUT! I couldn't believe how Rude he was, So I told him to go to Effing Hell. Not once was he Decent about Me Leaving, like Without a Mask, You'll have to leave, Even after the towel which was alot thicker than a paper Mask, He was still very Rude. So I leave, Drive back to Hernando, only to find it still closed. He Flat out Lied to Me on Top of being a Complete $#*! about this whole thing. I contacted Corporate Numerous times about my Treatment, I only heard back about my Purchases, I did not Purchase anything nor will I from That store ever again.
Radioshack has quite a large number of radios. I like their website very much because it has that appealing look. It shows just how professional this store really is. It has even the radios that I never thought existed these days. Whats more the radios are affordable which is why I like the store very much.
Be warned, DO NOT PURCHASE Service contracts from Radio Shack. I purchased insurance for my Samsung Note 3. I was told at the store that all I had to do was bring in my phone and I would get a new one, no questions asked. What really happens - you have to open a service ticket and pay $99 non-refundable PLUS $550, which will be returned when you return the damaged phone. They tell you that as soon as the return item is scanned at FedEx you will receive your refund. What really happens - you sit and wait for over 2 weeks to get your money back. My phone was scanned on 9/12, they received on 9/16 and I'm still waiting for my $550 (today is 10/2). Every time you call you get a different story. So either they lie or they don't know what the truth is. Buy from anyone but Radio Shack. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
OVERNIGHT SHIPPING AT RADIO SHACK – A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. So, Saturday morning I went to the Radio Shack store where the store manager and I are now becoming best buds, and asked if the order has been received, the item was a zBoost product that I had ordered for the second time on Thursday. He was not sure and offered to look up the order on the computer. Still the same status - PROCESSING! No change. Mind you this is the second time we had entered the order in a week. His suggestion was to call the help line and get a status on the order. Well this is when the fun begins. The woman on the line tells me that the order has been processed, and that I should receive it Wednesday or Thursday next week. Normally, this would be a OK answer, but I specifically paid for the product to be delivered "OVERNIGHT". I said WHAT!, what are you talking about, I paid for OVERNIGH!. Now I am in the store when I made the phone call with the manager next to me. He is just about as shocked as I am. I asked the person on the line, what part of OVERNIGHT SHIPPING do you not understand. Well, she told me that we have 1 -2 business days to process the order, and then 1 -2 business days to deliver the order. I said, but I paid for OVERNIGHT Shipping does that mean anything to you. Well, she stated, I placed my order on Thursday evening, we have until Monday to allow our warehouse to get the product ready to be shipped and then we have 1 to 2 business days to send the product to the store. So, I told person nicely, since I was in the store that you need to remove the OVERNIGHT Shipping option from you website- BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE THAT OPTION. She tried to explain to me that the policy for shipping overnight allows them 1-2 business days to prepare the order in the warehouse after 1 day to process the order. She then offered to remove the shipping fees as an effort to ease the pain, but as I explained to her, the cost of the shipping and the product was not as important as having the product here on Saturday morning. After she removed the shipping fees, I asked again "when will the product show up at the store", now it was for sure Wednesday or Thursday, maybe Friday next week. I said that you got to be kidding. Did you remove my priority shipping status by removing my shipping costs - Oh No, not at all. I told her obviously Radio Shack has a real logistics proble. Then to top it all off, she wanted to know since it was going to be Father's Day on Sunday that they had a tool kit, would I be interested purchasing it for $34.99 - I said, "Sure, when can I expect that to arrive - Labor Day Weekend" - NO I am not interesting in buying anything else from you. I asked the gal if she was just crazy or what. You just screwed me on a delivery of a product and then you want me to BUY something else – give me a break Radio Shack. God, I hope Radio Shack recorded that conversation; this is the one that the CEO needs to hear and then ask himself / herself if she would buy anything from such a micky mouse e-store operation. Warning, Warning, Warning if you need something please do not use this site for purchasing anything and for God Sake do not waste your money on expedited shipping - they have a strange definition of "OVERNIGHT"
My grandma is from the good old days and she wanted a radio. She kept on bugging me for a radio even though I told her that she could use the one in her phone. I needed a good radio and this store gave me just that. My grandma has never been happier. The radio works great and is of high quality.
Many thanks to your manager for helping me choose the best headphones for the office - they turned out to be not expensive but very high quality - I was completely satisfied.
Large specialized site with a good range. And everything is in stock - this is a great option today...
Excellent service, great prices and products, would recommend and would buy again here. 5 stars! :)) )
Lousy return policy and poor customer service - Radio Shack has a 30 day return policy. NO exceptions! Over the holidays, my father almost died. When we believed there was some hope that he would be okay again, I ordered the new camera that he had asked for before becoming ill. Checking the return policy was not on my mind at the time. My mistake. My father continued to be hospitalized off and on throughout the month of January. He did not attempt to use the camera until the end of January at which time he realized that it did not have a view finder and he was unable to see well enough to use the camera. I spoke to multiple people through customer service regarding returning or exchanging the camera and was met by a bunch of robots. That's the only way that I can explain the mechanical, uncaring way that they repeatedly told me Radio Shacks's return policy. What a disappointment. Now I'm stuck with a $120 camera, and I have to buy a new camera for my dad.
I was hesitant at first but I wanted to get my Canon G10 fixed. I found some good reviews online and shipped my camera to them. In a few days they called me and told me they had my camera fixed and wanted to know if I would like to get my flash replaced since it was showing some signs of arcing. I agreed and within a couple of days I had my camera in hand. They fixed and tested my lens and flash, cleaned the camera, and even updated the firmware. I was impressed with the person on the phone too. There was no pressure and he completely explained the whole process and seemed very knowledgeable about the camera. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
    All items from radioshack Awesome!
If you buy the service contract, radio shack is a great way to buy decent headphones. Because if they break in a year you get new ones, so it's a two for one deal.
