They have survived 60+ mph wind gusts and 35-40 mph sustained winds for 48 hours+. The weighted chain is a must as well as triple checking measurements. Oh, I use 4 inch ball bungee cords to hang and join the curtains. I ordered the maximum clear section available allowing me to stay dry, protected from the wind and warmer all while enjoying the view of my back yard.
