    I recently went to my local Boscov's and I saw Rudolph ornaments. The sign said $6.49 Rudolph ornaments. I grabbed 4 and went to check out along with a couple other things. The cashier rang out the ornaments and 3 of them rang up $18. I said that is not correct. I spent $71 when it should have been no less than $30-$40. If there were selective ones, then they all should not have been together on the display because I should have gotten them for the sale price. Service Value Quality
    So I went in to grab 2 things and I went up to a register said excuse me r u open? No answer. I said sorry r u open and the lady snapped at me. Horrible attitude.     Bought a piece of their luggage online. It came in a damaged box but that wasn't the problem. The luggage is too big to check. It's external measurements are greater that is allowed on most airlines. They advertised it as being 31" which would have worked but in the small print which I didn't see it says it's 32.5" which doesn't work. The airline may or may not let it be checked. I decided to return it but the shipping cost to return it is $85! I called and asked them to send me a shipping label and deduct it from my refund and they absolutely refused. They must train their customer service folks hard to be as heartless as they are. This is also after punching *******000 to by pass the AI that doesn't want you to speak to a human being. Now that I have read the reviews it all makes sense. If you are an online store and you are unwilling to work with customers about returns then you have no business being in business. Tip for consumers:If someone wants to shop with this company they should go to their store and do not shop online. They are nasty about returns.     Boscov's is one of my favorite stores. They have a great selection, reasonable quality and terrific prices. Unfortunately, you need to shop in store if you want to get your items quickly. If you order online it can take 2 weeks to receive your items. Since we love to shop online, this is very frustrating especially when other vendors can manage to have my items delivered in a couple days. They have a local store and even though I prefer to shop online, I go to Boscov's first hoping that it helps support the local store.
    Boscov's has been holding my money hostage in my bank account for 3 days now with a $93.86 charge that is pending while I have not ordered /purchased anything from them online. I have called them numerous times, customer service acts like they're idiots and they have no clue what I'm talking about I was told that it would drop off within one or two days here it's going on the 4th day and it's still being held in my account. They're starting to make themselves look really bad. I have called my bank but there's nothing they can do because it's still pending. I feel that boscov's is holding my money hostage. Be very careful of their website I looked on the website and now I've been charged $93 just for looking. I have made many purchases in the past but I will never again because of all this bull hockey.     I'm currently on my second "Estimated Delivery Date and expecting it to change again. My shipment is certainly enjoying a trip around the country. From NJ to PA to IL to KS to TN. I live in Arizona. I wonder how many more states my package will travel through before I get it. Now I understand why in only ordered once from them. Won't ever order from them again.     Was contemplating an online order...went to review the order but found a better price on a different site but was somehow still charged by Boscov's despite not actually submitting the order. Called customer service and they basically said that this is normal practices and I should expect my money back in 3-5 days. WTH? No other company in this country actually takes your money BEFORE submitting an order. Now, I'm forced to use MORE money to buy what I wanted from the other website. This is the shadiest experience I've had with an online retailer. I will NEVER attempt to order anything from this place...EVER AGAIN. Now I see why the customer experience ratings are so low.     Tried to order doorbuster on line but couldn't. This is not fair to customers that can't get to a store. Customer service couldn't help me either.     On the back of the packing slip it is stated 'If you call us for assistance in placing the exchange order, we will gladly waive your standard shipping fee; Boscov's ships most exchange merchandise at no additional shipping cost." Yeah right! Try getting through to talk to someone other than a clueless operator. The one time I managed to speak with someone, she seemed unqualified, and stated a total of $27.47. I answered "for exchanging an item?" She then proceeded to transfer me where I again waited and counted the cobwebs. 11 calls and numerous emails and still no resolution. No more. Boscov's can go the way of other retailers who pay lip service to customer service. Lesson learned. Tip for consumers:Shop online elsewhere. A bargain is no bargain if lousy customer service is provided. Time is money and waiting on the phone for an agent is costly. If you get an ad online from Boscov's, hit DELETE and RUN FROM IT!     I was not sure if the Brookstone Massage chair would be ok after I read reviews. I was very concerned. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. It came packaged perfectly and brand new in the box. Took it out and it works amazingly. I bought it for 99.99 plus tax. On the Brookstone website it was listed at 249 and Amazon was 300. So I took my chances and sometimes when it seems to good to be true it usually is. Not this time! I was truly Blessed! Thank you Boscovs! I will shop with you again in the future!     Purchased a bed frame and mattress. When the delivery guys opened the box the wood frame was cracked. Ok things happen. My complaint is customer service is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Since I already got rid of my old bed now I'm apparently sleeping on the floor until I can even talk to someone on Monday. Who knows from then how long it will take to get a new one. For someone with severe back and neck issues this is a major problem. They should not be delivering furniture when customer service is closed. No one in the store itself can help.     I'm writing this review to warn other people about Boscovs shady practices. I've made a few purchases at Boscov's this year the first purchase came damaged and they agreed to refund some of the money and put it back in my account when I looked in my account the discount was not applied it was taken out of my account. One order that I place not only did it take forever to get here but they charged me the wrong price of course it benefited them. Then I look in my bank account almost 2 months later and Boscov charges me for a purchase I never made. I would say I'm happy with the product but the service is terrible.     I Drove 40 miles today Sunday 12.18.22. Drove around whole parkin lot looking for a shopping cart. None to be found. My GF needs a cart to lean on to shop plus we came for quite a few gifts. She had wait in car. I enteted store no carts anywhere. After scanning the store I would say there was 1 cart per 25 to 30 shoppers. Most people where 50 and above. Hope stupid is upoer management. You can get so so much more in a cart than what you can carry. Needless to say how does a 65 year old woman carry an air fryer oven to check out? Stand in like 10 minutes and lug it to car? I went to customer service and requested to speak with a manager. She whole-heartedly agreed with my plight. I was told the constantly tell upoer management they need so many more carts. I guess only a chimpanzee won't realize that they are hurting their bottom line by 40 to 50 percent. You can't buy what you can't carry. Someone feed the chimps a common sense pill.     I PURCHASED EARRINGS AS A GIFT FOR MY MOM FOR CHRISTMAS 2021. MONTHS LATER STONES WERE FALLING OUT AND THE EARRINGS STARTED TO TARNISH. 30 DAY REFUND POLICY IS A JOKE. I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THESE EARRINGS AND STONES FALLING OUT AND TARNISHING IS UNACCEPTABLE THAT EARLY ON, ESPECIALLY. I REACHED OUT MULTIPLE TIMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE VIA EMAIL, I LIKE TO HAVE THINGS IN WRITING, BUT NO ONE WOULD RESPOND.     I ordered 7 fragile items online. It took WEEKS for the items to get to me. When they did, the outside shipping box was damaged. I noticed that the company cut down the sides of the box, which weakens the integrity. 2 of the items were damaged. I called in to the 800#. My first hold, approximately 5 min, was met with a customer service agent, who asked me all about me, the order, the problem, etc. Only to transfer me, which took 20 min for them to answer. When they did answer, I had to go through EVERYTHING again, as nothing transfers from the first agent. I told them the problem and they informed me that there policy is that I will have to await for THEM to receive reimbursement of the damaged items before they will ship me a replacement order. Unless I want to PAY for a new order PLUS shipping?!?!?!? The box will not be claim settled by Fedex, as they cut down the sides of the box. The Supervisor of the agent came on and basically called me a liar, saying they would never do that and they need proof! I emailed the pictures, but at this point am not only out the Valentines gift, but am out the money! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT!     Awful customer service. It was only after I placed my online order that I learned I would not have my presents for Christmas. No options for more expedited delivery. Offered curbside pickup, but every item. I attempted it was unavailable. Spent 3 hours on hold on their customer service line so I could either change delivery or cancel, only to be told by the lady on the phone that she did not handle that department. This store is simply awful and stuck in a brick and mortar prior century - - the 19th Century, and will be gone like the 5&10 Woolworth and A&P stores. Don't waste your money there.
