    I made two separate orders and none of my book has arrived. When I read reviews, it seems to be common practice. Books dont disappear just like that. It rarely happens because of a delivery service. It's obvious that they scam people and the book has never been sent! No tracking link, customer service useless. They were bought by amazon and when they knew it's over, they decided to scam people and grab money for them self. Legal action must be taken and accountability must be applied.     I pre-ordered a new release July 10th 2022. It is now January 20th 2023 & I have yet to receive it. I've contacted them multiple times about a refund & to cancel the order however they've stated its shipped and can't refund me. I have 0 proof the book ever shipped as they can't provide a shipping number or even provider who they shipped it with. I decided to cut my losses & I ordered the book from the author directly. She had it shipped & delivered internationally (Australia to Canada) in 10 days. Including a long weekend holiday in there. *shout out Emma Carey you're the best*. This is all to say overall I will NEVER order another book from book depository & will warn everyone of how much of a scam they really are.     I ordered my books just before Christmas 2021. Currently mid Jan 2022 and no sight of my books but money very well gone! I got in touch with customer service and as previous reviews mentioned, they asked me to wait till some other day and check my "local post office, neighbours..." When I got in touch again with them, I got the same response. I said to please read the trail of emails and either reimburse me the money or resend me the order. I got no response.     I have bought quite a few books from there and I have no complaints about the quality of the products. However, getting the books delivered is an awful experience. Usually, they do not provide any shipping details to the courier except for country (and sometimes name of the city, if they are feeling generous), so my order stays in the shipments distribution center and goes back because courier has neither delivery address, nor my contact information. Sometimes, they send me an email to correct my shipping address (which was provided with shipping details anyway) on behalf of the courier. Anyway, it takes multiple tries because sometimes my reply just gets ignored / missed / lost / whatever and I have to send the same thing again a week or so later. Sometimes I get the books through regular post, but I am not sure how they decide which method of delivery to use (does not appear to be determined by size or weight of the item though). Tip for consumers:When you have order tracking number, do not hesitate to call courier company if your order seems to be stuck (status not updated). At least in my experience, that meant that delivery address, for whatever reason, was not provided and parcel will be returned without my knowledge. Products used:Books. Service
    I ordered Dear Self on 7 August 2021 and I have still not received my item. I have emailed the company only to get the same answer - it has been dispatched and I must check with my neighbours and post office. If you cannot hold to your worldwide delivery in your stated times, then do not sell to other countries. I have asked for a refund and still await my refund - as usual quick to take money but not quick to refund or find out more information.
    Purchased a book on pre-order, a month before publication date. Four months later, I still don't have my order! Multiple attempts to get information, especially since the book I ordered is still actively listed, I get multiple cut-and paste responses saying it's coming "imminently" or they claim issues with supply from publisher. I even reached out to the author (who responded!) and she said she'd contacted the publisher who said BookDepository hadn't even ordered the books! Still holding out hope I'll get my money back.     I was a little worried once I read some reviews on this company but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a book earlier this month from Canada and was expecting it to arrive in 10-15 business days. My shipment actually ended up arriving after 6 business days which was amazing!     I ordered a book in December 2022 and received a notification to say it had been shipped (virtually immediately) and that the book would arrive on or before Sunday 8 Jan. Today is Saturday 7 Jan and nothing. There is no post on Sunday! I contacted them for a refund and was told the book is nearly ready to be shipped so they can't refund! They also had the nerve to extend / create a brand new arrival date of 25 January! These people are operating on the basis of lies and half-truths. It amounts to fraud. They operate out of Abebooks, and Amazon, the former a site which has gone down the drain over the last couple of years. Amazon has a customer-centric policy which Abebooks presumably abides by but not Bookdepository which cares not in the slightest about its customers, only about itself. When a company does this it is a sure sign that it is on a downward spiral to bankruptcy. Hopefully this company of liars and deception-mongers will fall, because it has forgotten the cardinal business rule namely, that it exists to serve customers not the other way round. I wrote back and told them I wanted my refund and that I would file a complaint to Abebooks and Amazon, because this is not acceptable practise. It seems that honest booksellers are somewhat sparse these days. Whereas sharks like Bookdepository are everywhere. To my book reading and loving friends, beware the scam that is Bookdepository!
    Long story short, I'd ordered some books. Eventually they came, but one of them had literally ruined pages making it impossible for me to fix it.     Ordered some books from book depository back in February since they were the only providers of certain books for my son. They rely on general post - so I was prepared to wait for my books - but after a month I asked them for an update. After generic replies - I asked them for proof that they actually mailed the books. At this point I was told that the books had just been sent "again" - and I am yet to receive anything after 2 months of waiting. I think if you are not in the UK you are definitely supposed to avoid this company. Tip for consumers:If you are not in the UK do not use this seller - its better to go with someone who might be a tad more expensive but better shipping.     I ordered a book earlier this month. They later cancelled my order without any real explanation. If you go to their website, you can find the same book for sale for slightly more money.     I ordered 4 text books on the 4th Dec 2019... still waiting on the 14 Jan 2020! No tracking details provided after order. Answers like "have you checked your local sorting office" Really?     It took very long for my order to arrive. When it did it was open and the item was gone! The postal person was astonished by the cheap, flimsy packaging.     Insulting and harassing company - took me almost 2 weeks and 15 emails to find out where my order was (still not received). They kept passing my request from person to person, ended up with someone named Rafiek, who intentionally harassed me, asking for the same info email after email, wouldn't respond for days - frustrating and just - mean!     I've ordered a few books via bookdepository and found them to be reliable so far. I consciously wanted to avoid Amazon (BD also sell via Amazon) as I don't want to give money to Amazon is at all possible.     Book depository is great! I've ordered about a dozen books so far, and they typically arrive sooner than the period estimated my the website (one month to Canada), rarely a bit later. If you want something immediately, order from somewhere else. If you're able to be patient and value free shipping, they are a dream! I live in a remote location where most free shipping places do not ship... so it's great. Just be patient y'all.
    I duplicated an order by mistake, cancelled it immediately, but the order was delivered anyway and the charge made to my credit card. I am not interested in having two copies of the same book and now I'm stuck. Feeling very disappointed for this poor service to a client. Service
    I ordered and paid for a book to be posted to me in Thailand based on the understanding (as set out on the website) that delivery would be in '8 to 12 working days'. I have now been informed without explanation or apology that delivery will take a month at a minimum. I need the book for a book club and a late delivery is useless. The Book Depository at first denied that they had promised delivery in '8 to 12 working days' until I shoed them their website. BD refuses a refund. It should be avoided as a scam, pure and simple.     My experience with this company is extremely disappointing! Please do not order any books from this company! On December 25th, the status of my order from 5 weeks ago showed "Shipment returned to shipper". When I contacted the customer service, the agent named Rachelle informed me that she would order a replacement copy which would be shipped in approximately 3 weeks. This would be satisfactory enough. However today, I received another email from them saying They're sorry to let me know they are unable to fulfill my order of the item, and have issued a refund. Very poor customer service! They are totally SCAM! I am also suspicious of their 5 star ratings on trustpilot.com as most of them appear to be fake. Service Shipping Quality
    Book depository is a complete scam company they do things like post items on Amazon under a different category which is misleading to the customer and then on top of that if you go to return the item they don't include a free return label you end up having to pay for the shipping to return the item which in my case was almost half the cost of the item itself which is ridiculous. This company is a complete joke and I would never recommend anyone buying anything off of them. What kind of company posts misleading advertisements under different areas. I wanted 'Super Mario Bros' the game, which was under games, NOT BOOKS. If I'm looking for videos games wth would I want a bunch ok on piano solos like geez. Horrible company.
