Ordered a couple shifters for my bike. Payed to rush my order and expedited shipping. Tracked my order with the delivery service (Ontrac) because it kept getting pushed back a day and it got to the point where they couldn't determine the status of my package. It's now over 4 days late and I still haven't got word of my order. No support from Nashbar either. They'll just point back and forth with the delivery service they partner with. What a sh*t business, stealing money from people like that. Don't buy from these guys. They're not legit.
I made an order never arrived, when I contacted Nashbar they asks to wait few more weeks which I did but still got nothing, wrote again and again but got not reply Wouldn't buy again! There are many better sites in terms of prices, inventory and customer service so there is no reason to deal with Nashbar! Tip for consumers:Don’t use it, shops somewhere else Service Value Shipping Quality
I bought a complete bike from them on a Sunday and it was at my door Thursday. Customer service(Gabe) is great too and very helpful.
Great parts and tires for great prices. Really great parts and tires for great prices. Truly great parts and tires for great prices for you.
I have done business with Nashbar for decades, maybe from their start. I had a few eras of falling out with them due to issues with their business practices. Maybe a year or two ago, I tried them again and they came through on a couple of items, but lately their business practices have again become terrible and their customer service is appalling. First their customer service brushed me off, then came back with "warm fuzzies" but no actual help, then added bad bait and switch product advice. I ordered tires in November, with a back order date of March. Okay, it is winter and I didn't need the tires in Winter. But they immediately charged my credit card for the tires, which is bad business and maybe illegal. March due date came, and then they just quietly removed ANY reference to ship date. So now it is April and they want to keep using my money without sending me a product, for half a year to a year. I am not a loan company, and I am getting no interest on the loan. Customer Service suggested I switch my order to another tire, which received terrible reviews and wasn't at all similar to what I originally ordered. Suggesting other tires that were also not in stock or were discontinued and not available. So, now it is Spring, and I missed all the Winter sales from other sources, and I am cancelling my order, which loses the sale price I bought the tires with last Fall, and I had to pay full price with limited selection elsewhere, as bike component sales ramp up for Spring. They are now bottom of the list of my sources and they and their parent company really do deserve to go bankrupt. Tip for consumers:Don't believe anything they say and don't expect customer service to actually do anything. Products used:I bought tires at a different site. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
Please always see the small details because I returned a product and most of the time I never read the small details, and they charge me 15% "We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 15% on returned merchandise that requires additional labor to process."
I purchased a $200 gift card for my wife. We used about $80 of it. I went to use it again today and it said the number wasn't valid. I called them and got this very rude agent that told me to basically kick rocks. He essentially said Nashbar went belly up (bankrupt) and stole everyone gift card money. He said they (the owners of Nashbar.com) aren't honoring any gift card no matter what amount. To me that means my money was stolen. I said I'll have to put this in a review and he told me go ahead, put it on the pile of other negative reviews. And politely told me to F off. So I repeated it back to him and hung up. If you had a gift card with Nashbar, I suggest you check it right now. Who know what they're going to do or did do with your money. I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. There are hundreds of other sites out there that will honor a gift card you paid for - this is not the place. Tip for consumers:Do not use this company. My gift card of $120 went POOF!!! Ill keep this brief cause im still processing the event. I ordered a shifter, listed as available. The order went through fine. Received shorts ten days later. Called Nashbar. Said they havent had shifters available and Shimano is back ordered. When I asked how that pertained to receiving shorts they had no answer. Now I have to return the shorts, lose shipping money, and get nothing in return. Apparently they have no inventory oversight. Wont use again.
This is not the real Nashbar. They used to have amazing in house brand items that were absolutely in line with what cyclists wanted. Those are gone! It also used to have a large scratch and dent section. It's gone too. Nashbar is dead.
Requested overnight shipping on an item. Ordered on a Friday. Expected it Saturday. Paid $35 for overnight. Instead they delivered on Monday. They claim that it is their policy to deliver on following Monday on Friday orders. Really? I told them I saw no reference to that at checkout. They responded that if I had gone to their shipping and handling link and then customer support it would have said so. Well- how convenient is that to have your policy buried in clicks rather than in plain view at shipping & checkout? What a joke. If we were talking $3 and not $35 it might be different. In the end customer service apologized that they cannot refund shipping. I quickly corrected them suggesting that their response should read will not refund shipping. There are plenty of other options for online out there... dont waste your time with BNB.
I bought several bikes from them. The majority of my purchases came in a very bad condition, with even local bike shop unable to fix them. Some "new" bikes came with the used low quality components installed. It was extremely difficult to return the bikes. Nashbar easily reneged on its promises re. Returns and replacements. Very rude customer service and product support. Only the low prices, smoke and mirror marketing and deceptive policies keep them in business.
They couldn't care less about fixing their screw ups. I returned a gift for a giftcard, and instead of sending the giftcard they refunded to the card. Total idiots. Couldn't even admit they made a mistake. Never, ever shop Nashbar. You can easily find better prices anyway.
Ordered a bike rack on sale. The following day they raised the price and are now refusing to fill my order. They are giving multiple excuses. Listed by accident. No longer carrying item. The item is a bike rack new to market and they carry every other rack this company sells.
I love this cycling internet store and have been buying from these for over 15 years. One of my favorite retailers. :)
Ordered two pair of cycling liners. Great price, great service, and exactly as described.
The "deals" are far from it since they overprice to begin with and good luck with battery powered stuff on sale. Poor experience with purchases that were inferior. You have to look long and hard at the catalogue to find a real deal and then it is buyer beware.
Had a good experience buying from Nashbar. Needed road shoes fast and got them within a couple of days as promised. Hovever, was surprised that I had to pay sales tax. Turns out tyhe are owned by Performance Bicycle, so if Performance has a retail location in your state, you have to pay sales tax when you buy from Nashbar
Great deals although sometimes it takes a while to get them and sometimes the sizes for clothes are limited but still, very, very hard to beat the prices especially on the Road Cycling side of things.
